U Dirty Dawg

Unfortunately this is what happened during his grooming appointment on June 27, 2020. Breaks my heart. He has multiple cuts on his legs throughout his face and mostly on his ears. Upon getting a opinion by another groomer. It was suggested that the clippers got too hot and those are burn marks! Unfortunately the owner Stephanie Morris it's not taking any type of responsibility or accountability for the horrific grooming experience my dog went through. As a business owner myself this just saddens me for the customer service. Again, I do have proof via pictures and his last grooming appointment was in March. Right before the shut down which they already knew. I did get a second opinion because I felt like their operation is shady and so is their vet tech that they are working with. I cannot believe the lies that they are trying to say to cover their butts! I'm asking for a full refund because of the neglect on their end with my dog and The customer service I am receiving. I did not take me over a week to address my issue however it did take the owner until yesterday to address the The issue. Again would never recommend to anyone have put in a complaint with the BBB. In three months during the shut down my dog wasn't matted. I had previously been taking him regularly to grooming appointments. His horrific cuts are from the groomer. Still no responsibility or or accountability on the owner Stephanie Morrison. So sad! Trying to blame a customer for their negligence, like I’m the bad guy? What professional business owner dose that? Well I BAD one dose!

It went very well. I know that they can't accept pit mixes so I asked if I could send them picture texts of my dogs to make sure they were acceptable and I was able to send them to someone's personal cell phone and get them approved.
Also, I just moved here from out of state, and we couldn't find the dogs' immunization records. They were able to receive and accept a fax from our vet back home detailing their immunization records.
I just really appreciate the flexibility and collaboration. I would have had to miss a very important trip with my husband and kids if we couldn't have boarded the girls. They seemed happy and healthy after their experience, as well, which also appreciate because this was their first time ever being boarded.

They are an excellent place! They offered me doggy daycare while she was there. They really get to know your dog.

They were very friendly and got him very clean. However, both times he came back with fleas and there was extra cost for them to file his nails. Ask about all costs up front and be specific about what services you would like done. Also, check your pet after grooming for fleas.

Dropped off my Yorkie in to be groomed and explained to the groomer that I did NOT want all her hair chopped off but trimmed up, I even showed her pictures on my phone of how I wanted her cut. My husband stopped in after work to pick her up. When he got home I noticed immediately that the only thing cut on her as her face so I called and asked if I could bring her back in to be trimmed as I requested the first time. I took her in and instructed the groomer in detail what I wanted done which was just to trim her up with scissors. Again my husband picked her up and this time ALL her hair was CHOPPED off! I could have done a better job myself and I haven't had any training!!

It's been good so far. They provide good service.

All of the handlers are dog lovers. I feel really comfortable leaving our pets there. They know our dog's problems and are wonderful with him. They also understand my other dog. They are just really nice people.

We were concerned with this being the first time we used tehm. We visited before hand, contacted them several times throughout our pet's stay. They were professional and we were overall impressed.

I have been using this company for 2-3 years now and have found them to be the best at sheering my cat.  i used a couple other companies on the South Side in the past and have found they did the best work for me.  My cat is very spoiled now and has to be sheered all year long or he gets mad and stops bathing himself.  We take him there at least twice a year and he is done within the day.  He always comes back smelling great, looking great with a very clean and professional cut ( I have tried doing this myself in the past and it is not easy to do, never again!) with a little bandana around his neck.  We are sure to tell them of anything to watch out for with our cat and they always listen well and make sure to avoid these spots in order to make the experience for the cat good.  They will sheer my pet for as long as he is on this Earth.  They also have great treats, pet food, and pet toys onsite as well as sample packages of very high end pet food.

They had great pricing. We had an appointment and they were on time.

I was very nervous boarding our dog. He is like our child and we'd never left him with strangers. I dropped by one day and explained to the owner that I had planned on boarding but was a little nervous and asked if she could show me around. She was more than willing to take me a tour on the whole facility. It was surprisingly spotless even though at the time I went there were many dogs outside playing. She was very friendly and answered all of my questions. She seems to really enjoy what she does. The dogs sleep from 7am to 7pm. They are out of their cage playing together all day so they're plenty wore out by then. They have a pool to play in and they have indoor areas as well for bad weather. Chandler came back happy, but wore out. He's not used to so much activity! :) I noticed no signs of abuse and he seemed to be the same happy, sweet, loving, clean dog that he went in being. I would highly recommend U Dirty Dawg. The owner is top notch. I would for sure board my dog with them again.

Robert installed an underground electric fence for our two dogs. The line was buried, and crossed the driveway via the concrete crack; which was neatly caulked. Installation of the electrical box was into the garage. The wire running into the garage through the wall was in conduit, and the installation very neat. I would highly recommend them for installation of a dog fence as well as day care and boarding at U Dirty Dog. Rick and Shelley Lambert

I am so happy with You Dirty Dawg! They take such good care of my puppy and she always comes back so clean and smelling great! She always seems happy when I pick her up, and tired from playing with the other dogs. The staff there is so friendly and knowledgeable! My puppy has food allergies so they have recommend a holistic treat for her which she loves. I am so happy that such a great grooming company has come to the south side! Great job, YOU DIRTY DAWG!

They do a fantastic job with my dog. My dog had not been dressed or groomed in a few months and he just absolutely matted. They shaved him, trimmed his nails, and cleaned out his ears. They were very friendly and my dog actually enjoyed the process as if he was just being petted. They charged me a little bit extra, because he kept getting tired and having to lay down so they would let him lay down for a bit then stand him back up and trim until he was tired again. They were very good about being careful with some growths that my dog has and watched to not nick or hit any of them. They even took him outside an played with him after he was finished so that he came back to us very happy rather than being nervous. They called me when he was finished so that I would not have to wait. They offer training courses for people who are looking into becoming animal groomers. Every week they post a type of dog and they look for volunteers who they will use to teach with and they will do the work for half price.

My dog Charlie typically does not do well in any type of kennel situation. He comes back nervous and with a few bad habits. I did some research and decided to try U Dirty Dawgs for a weekend my husband and I were out of town. The staff was very nice on the phone and answered all of my questions. I brought him to the establishment a day early so they could observe him and make sure he plays nicely with others and also to take copies of his current vet records. I decided that I would also have him bathed prior to picking him up on Monday. When I picked Charlie up he was happy, content, and displayed non of the nervous qualities he has in the past. He was clean with a cute bandana around his neck. I have since taken Charlie to the facility a number of times for both overnight stays as well as during the day. I also always have him bathed. The facility is CLEAN! It is obvious that the owners and the staff are very committed to animals and take care of them. The part I really enjoy is that instead of being kept separate and alone for boarding, Charlie got to play and run around with other dogs during the day. I am thrilled with all the services I have recieved there and highly recommend them.

I agree with other posters who reccommend having your dogs groomed after kenneling. Very professional and straighforward staff and ownership.

I am reasonably pleased, but they did not bathe our dogs and when we picked them up they smelled like urine (which was unexpected). They do offer grooming for an additional $30, but we didn't think they would need it (i.e. we didn't expect them to smell so bad)... suffice to say, we were wrong. However, the facility itself is clean, safe and the people were very kind.

I really like how they treat our dogs. They are very considerate for every pet that goes in here because each pet is different. Their scheduling is very easy and I can get in right away. They are very easy to work with. They are very nice and friendly. They have an open kennel service which is really nice. They always keep their appointments. I know my dog is treated well here because they all love animals. My dog always gets pampered here and it's like a home away from home for her.
