"Matt was very detailed in his work. Before he began to apply anything to the carpets he explained thoroughly the process he would be doing in detail. He came prepared, with all tools needed to complete the job and did an amazing job. They use all natural products and the solution smells like citrus and leaves a fresh aromatic clean smell in the air. Not overbearing but exactly enough. I highly recommend them and there prices are extremely affordable. Thanks Tidyman cleaning service will definitely be using them again!"

"Dawn is a " Hands on " owner and worked along side of her employee. Nothing was overlooked as she went back over things to make sure they were clean. Very thorough and deep cleaners. My house looks, smells and shows better then ever."

"I've never experienced such professionalism and dedication to the perfection of a craft as I have with Midwest Tile Pro’s. The integrity of their work and tireless attention to detail is surely unmatched, regardless of industry. Not once did I feel the need to question any aspect of the job or rate of progress. I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job, and all within our budget! Thank you so much for utterly transforming our new kitchen from a mismatched, out of alignment atrocity to a beautiful area we spend almost every evening! You are a gift to the art (indeed, art) of tile installation"

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

You can regularly clean your Marmoleum® flooring by sweeping, vacuuming, and damp mopping with a neutral cleaner. Avoid using highly abrasive materials or high-pH cleaners to prevent cracking, warping, or discoloration, and never wet mop, as heavy water exposure can damage the floors. Marmoleum® floors have a topcoat called TopShield preinstalled, so you do not need to polish them.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

While every professional home cleaner will have their own preference, most will use a commercial floor cleaner specifically manufactured for laminate floors. They will also use a vacuum or microfiber cloth to remove loose grit before breaking out the mop. Some cleaners will also make a final pass with a dry and clean cloth to dry your laminate floors for a smooth shine.

The best way to clean vinyl floors is to vacuum or sweep away debris and then mop the floors using a mixture of warm water and dish soap or vinegar. You can also use store-bought cleaners if they’re marked safe for vinyl surfaces.

You can buff out small scratches or indentations from your hardwood floor, but refinishing is your best bet if you have larger areas that need work. Floors in relatively good shape but have lost their luster can be restored with thorough buffing. If your finish has worn off in areas or if you have sun or water damage, you should go with refinishing instead.
