"They came when they said they would. I prefer to pay as I go and they did not require prepayment for their services. We will soon be discussing other lawn maintenance issues that concern me and if the solution is a viable one, they will be doing this as well. In other words, at this point I am happy with their work and would definitely recommend this service."

"Timothy did a fantastic job replacing our toilet in our bathroom. He explained everything as he worked, helped us to get the best pricing possible on the job and was very friendly with my four year olds of daughter who was thrilled to receive an ECO sticker! Timothy went above and beyond to help us today and we will definitely be using ECO Plumbers again!"

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.

One of the most effective ways to improve lawn absorption is to learn how to aerate your lawn. This is a process where you poke tiny holes all throughout it to break up tough soil and sediment, creating pathways for sunlight, water, air, and nutrients to seep into the plant’s roots. In turn, it promotes stronger root systems, making your lawn or plants less susceptible to pests and disease. Ideally, you’ll want to aerate your lawn at least once per year during the growing season—think late summer to early fall.

If you throw grass seed on bare spots, some may sprout on the soil’s surface. However, the germination rate will diminish over time because the grass will not be rooted correctly. You may not get desired results if you toss grass seed on bare spots without proper lawn maintenance and cultivation.

Bermuda grass may be drought-resistant, but it still needs to be watered once or twice a week. The suggested amount of water Bermuda grass needs varies from season to season. Bermuda grass needs about 1 inch of water a week in summer, fall, and winter; it needs up to ¾ inch in spring.

Fine fescue grass can germinate within 12 to 22 days. Of course, factors such as soil and climate can determine how long it will take for your no-mow grass to sprout. New grass seed needs adequate sunshine, oxygen, moisture, and healthy soil for successful germination. The best time to plant fescue grass is early spring or early fall.
