Cary returned my call right away. We were desperate as the recent storm had our yard looking like a disaster zone with trees uprooted and limbs all over the place and blocking the driveway and doorway to the house. Cary came out, gave me a quote and his crew came out the next day and started cutting the trees up and hauling them away for us. I also had them mow for us and edge the lawn as we were expecting guests for the weekend. They went above and beyond my request and we, as well as our guest, were very impressed with their work. We are so impressed that we are going to have them take care of some other trees for us and also take care of our lawn off and on to give it that professional look.
"Hello, maybe there is some confusion as I have never spoke to a perspective customer by that name, there are other companies with similar names like yankee rose, rose lawn, and other rose based company names out there...customer has quite a distinctive name....I am sure I would have remembered that name if I spoke with them but I assure you I have not. Please ask customer to edit your review to reflect that we have NEVER spoke and we have had no voice mail messages with that name, i assure you. I have checked all of our emails as well and assure that we have NEVER received and emails from you either. I apologize if you believe that you have spoke to me or sent an email requesting information, but I never received it, i promise you, and a negative review on Angie's list hurts our reputation so I am unsure why someone would try to purposely damage someone's reputation.. Please ask customer to edit or remove review.."
Rose Hill's landscapers did a wonderful job, and our project was done in 2 days. They were personable and solicited our opinion when there were options for placing plants. It looks fantastic now. We live in a neighborhood where the houses have lots of nice landscaping, and our house had a very neglected yard with no gardens when we moved in a few months ago. Now, we both fit right in (in that we have a nicely landscaped yard too) and we stand out (in that Rose Hill designed our landscaping both to reflect our own taste and to take advantage of the features of our house/yard).
We had a very positive experience working with Cary and Rose Hill, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Rose Hill Landscaping to anyone in the Terre Haute area. Rose Hill won the local newspaper's Reader's Choice award for landscaping and after working with them, it's clear why.
I should have discontinued their service when the owner "helped" me clear ice from my windshield by vigorously hacking at both the ice on the rear glass and my car's paint. They are clearly trying to get on to the next job. It would be cheaper to pay more for a better service than to pay for their service and the subsequent repairs to your property. The lawn looked good after every visit but after a few years the damage began to build up.
"WOW, we are Very disappointed in customer review based on the fact that we kept their pricing near or at 2007 levels through 2013, Neighbors always made positive comments on how much better the yard looks since we took over as when we started the sidewalks were grown over and the trees in yard produce HUGE amounts of leaves that we remove and bagged for next to nothing (20 bags worth some visits) even cleaned their street gutters and now with whoever they switched to, we see weeds in the street gutters.... the customers previous neighbors to the east (older couple that has since passed away) even called us over to let us know how much they appreciated the extra time we took to clean up the street as the large amount of leaf debris usually ended up in their yard if we wouldn't have cleaned them up like the previous firm. This is a yard that can be mowed in 10 minutes if nothing extra was done and we would usually spend nearly an hour there doing extra cleanup. We edged Every time with edgers, not weedeaters like most mowing crews as to keep the sidewalks and walkways clean and crisp looking and the crumbling concrete is not something that we can control. We also cleaned the gutters to allow free flowing as before us, when it would rain, the rain would go over the edge as they were plugged up. We also put down grass seed in the bare spots of the yard at no charge and weeded their beds when we mowed. Maybe the customer is confused for some reason as we were NEVER contacted about any damage beyond a swing that we had to unchain from time to time to gain access behind the swing, nor was the customer told that we didn't care about lawn care or that our focus had changed to landscaping as they stated in their comments. Also, when we did snow removal and made sure that the customers car was also cleared off and dug out while parked in the street when the city would come by and "plow" them in, it was never damaged at all, in fact, we regularly removed limbs and sticks off of their car that fell from the trees in the tree row, so, maybe that is where the "scratches"? they speak of came from. So, in review, we are confused and disappointed in customer review... we are truly sorry to have ANY customer think of us in this kind of way as quality and customer satisfaction is our TOP priority, always has been, always will be as the top ranked landscaper and lawn care firm in Terre Haute."
"We have Never received any communication from (Member name removed). Maybe they are confused as to who they called OR maybe they are friends or family of a competitor trying to badmouth us as we have checked our records and have NEVER received a request for service from these folks. We ask our clients, both on our voice mail and when we speak to them in person to go online and send us an email request or text and these folks are NOT one of them...nor have we received Voice Mails... We have been ranked the #1 landscaper in Terre Haute for a reason as if we cannot do a project, we let our clients know that we cant do it as we are a smaller, more personalized firm and we were 2 months booked when there was still snow on the ground.... This review needs removed as bogus..."
"(member name removed), We ask that you edit this ludicrous review or just remove it.. Apparently you have forgotten how much we helped you last time we were out and how pristine we made you gutters, roof, and yard while cleaning them for the stupidly low price due to the fact that you are in our neighborhood??? I think we spent 16 man hours there and only charged like $100..that would be a rate of like $6 hourly when the going rate is $40-50... and this indentation job wasn't even paid for by you, but the tree trim company that was out there removing and repairing your trees...I have since sent the $75 back to the tree firm as I want no part of this petty review... this means that you have not paid for this job to be done, so, I am not sure how Angie's list can allow you to place a review... The ruts that were made by your tree trim guys were about 1 inch deep and in grass!!! they could not be seen! If i had the pictures from it and posted them online, nobody would be able to see the ruts, so, how could you expect us to? that is why we asked you to mark them! So, by your own admission, if it took you 20 minutes to find the ruts and mark them within a 15 foot area, then, obviously, they were NOT that easy to find, now, were they? If it was so easy, it should have taken 1 minute! the ruts were not ruts, they were minor indentions and pretty much undetectable....you have larger bumps and low spots throughout your yard in other places.... I spoke to the tree company that made the indentations in your yard and your neighbor that told them that it would be ok to drive through your yard to cut down those trees that benefited both you and the neighbor, and they both said that they offered to go ahead and take care of the small indentations but you told them that would not be good enough and you were taking this to another level.... Well, I am not happy with the level you have taken it too, I have sent the $75 back to the tree firm that sent it to me, so, Please remove this review ASAP! This is NOT the thanks we expected for doing a Favor for someone at below cost...."
