Small jobs welcome

"Chris was very reliable. He was always on time. He and his crew worked very hard. They worked in 95° weather and when it was raining. He always asked me to check his work each day. They hardly took a break all day. They worked until the job was done. The fence is beautiful. I would rate them a 10 being the best. Thank you American patriot fencing and deck. We will be calling you again soon for our decking needs."

"I had them come out to repair a crushed part of my back yard black chain link fence. It looks great now!!! The guys were friendly, spoke English, professional and cleaned up the site afterwards. I would use them again!"

"I wish I had before pictures so you could see the difference! We had the same thing done three years ago, and the outcome was not close to the work Tracey did. He cleaned and sealed the concrete patio, power washed, replaced a few boards on the sides of the deck and used a semi-transparent stain the deck/bench seating/side boards. The price was a bit lower than our other bid, his communication and customer service was outstanding, and we have already shared his contact information with neighbors looking for their own 'deck revival'"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The best type of temporary fencing depends on its intended purpose. For example, if you need it for added security, to ensure the safety of children and animals, or to keep pests out of a garden, the ideal material will differ. For simply warning people away from a construction project, plastic orange fencing may be sufficient. Barricade fencing is a good choice for blocking off small areas. If you need to protect an area from trespassing, theft, or vandalism, more robust security fencing is necessary. Once you understand the primary function, you can select the most durable and cost-effective material for your specific project and yard size.

The ideal spacing for four-by-four residential fence posts is usually about 6 to 8 feet between posts. However, if the fence is particularly high or you live in a very windy region, you might want to space them closer together for better stability. A fence pro can help you decide on your post spacing.

In terms of materials, chicken wire mesh will be the most inexpensive option to use when building your fence. The downside is that it’s not the most attractive garden fence option. In a similar vein, you could choose a DIY fence made out of repurposed items, like car tires, or wooden pallets, either of which would be free to collect.

There’s no definitive answer to this question because dog owners and experts are conflicted about the efficacy and morality of electric fences. However, physical fences are typically considered a better option since they provide guaranteed containment for your pup, provided they are tall enough, and your dog can’t dig under them. Physical fences can also provide privacy, which might stop your dog from barking at people or animals walking by. Physical dog fences tend to be more expensive, but most homeowners find them to be a better option overall.

When it comes to materials, wire fences are the cheapest option. The average cost for a 150-foot wire fence is $1,350. The next cheapest material is chain-link, followed by wood.

As far as the style of fence, smaller, less private fences are cheaper than large, elaborate fences that block your whole yard. That’s why split-rail fences are the cheapest option for wooden fences. They cost roughly $10 to $30 per linear foot.
