I can do stairs, decks, siding, cabinets, trim, doors, windows, shelving, some auto repairs, anything else you can name. I will also build furniture, cutting boards, or any other specialty items. I am married with 2 children and I am currently a full time Firefighter with 2 out of 3 days off so I have plenty of time to work for you.

Subs when necessary, 8 employees, cost is determined by job, free estimates and no travel charges, willing to travel, 24 hour emergency services

"Contracted to do the above which he completed. Also contracted to remove bush and a stump. Said he would be over on the weekend to finish. This was on 7/3 and I paid him. He said he needed to pay his crew. Boy was I hood winked. What business does not have money in reserve to pay his employees? It is now 7/25. Called 3 times and left a detailed message no call back. Last night called using another phone number and talked to Tom. He promised he would be over that night 7/24 to finish the contract. As of this writing work not completed. So sad. This gives ALL contractors a bad rep. I was very patient and trusting. Never again."

Ash bores killed the tree as was shown to me & Samuel worked hard all day and stacked the cords of wood, from large limbs to small limbs; in a neat organized pile near my shed. It will take you anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours per tree stump to grind and remove the stump from the ground. The larger the size, the longer it will take to remove the stump. Also, keep in mind that rocky soil may require local excavation services to loosen up large boulders before you can begin to remove the tree stump.

Trees should be pruned every two to five years, depending on its age and type. Young trees should be inspected and pruned every two to three years. Mature trees should be inspected and trimmed every three to five years, and fruit trees should be pruned annually with a careful eye on seasonal growth. Evergreens typically don’t need pruning, unless branches or limbs are damaged, diseased, or harboring pests.

You may be looking to identify maple trees to use for home improvement projects. In that case, you can tell hard maples by looking at their leaves. Leaves will have a U-shaped dip, or sinus, between the points, or lobes, of the leaves. Leaves of soft maples tend to have V-shaped sinuses.

If you already have the cut wood in front of you, look for a light, uniform color to identify hard maple wood and check for variations of red, gray, or brown streaks and an overall darker color in soft maple wood.

If you’re wondering whether you can plant a tree where the stump was removed, know that the soil conditions won’t be ideal, so you should avoid it. The soil beneath the previous tree will likely be depleted of nutrients, plus there may be roots left behind that will seriously hinder the growth of a new tree. Also, if you use salt or other chemical solutions to kill the stump, these can linger in the soil for months or even years and prevent healthy growth. It’s best to choose a different spot that’s at least three feet away for a new tree, or wait at least a year and thoroughly amend the soil before you plant.

Unless there’s some sort of rule in your community’s homeowners’ association that requires you to remove a stump, there’s no law that says you have to take it out. If you’re not wedded to the idea of removing it, there are plenty of ways to get creative with this tree remnant. Using the stump as the medium for a wood carving or turning it into a planter are just two examples of ways to repurpose a tree stump.
