The crew worked very hard and efficiently to dig up roots. When done, they roto-tilled the soil, spread grass seed and covered it with straw. They also removed some other honeysuckles that had grown up in random places, with the aim of allowing a mower to be used over the entire lawn without worrying about damage to the machine.
