His employee would clean the chimney and then David would inspect his cleaning job and would get in there himself and clean the spots he saw were still there. This made me feel confident in his work. He patched up all the cracks that I had in the back and bottom of the fireplace for a decent price. They left the area nice and clean after they were done. "John Paul was reponsive and prompt to do the inspection for the estimate.  After the proposal was accepted, the miscommunication and then complete lack of communication began.  I was unable to get any kind of schedule or idea of when the work would be done.  Finally after more than 3 weeks with no contact, I started the process of getting some new estimates and started to accept a proposal with another contractor.  The following morning John Paul called me to say he would be out that morning to do the chimney work, and that he would do the finish work the following day.  This was all very unexpected.
The work itself was done well and John was very nice.
