At one point he ran into some unforseen difficulty which ended up causing the repairs to take much longer than expected, but at no point did he consider any shortcuts. He insisted on doing only the best work even though this was only an outbuilding and no one would be looking at it. It was getting late in the day, but Mike insisted on completing the work as the weather forecast called for rain the next day. The repairs ended up taking up to sunset, but the forecast was correct as the next day it rained a lot. Mike called me that day to make sure that there wasn't any leaks.
