They were locally recommended to us when we moved here and we have been using them ever since. The job with the oven went well except that my oven was not heating hot enough after they left. I called them and they sent someone back out. They did an adjustment and it works just fine. They put the part in during summer and then we had this problem just before Thanksgiving. They only charged me half the price because they had been out before. It is about $40 for them to come out. In their first visit, they charged us $250, which would have been for the part and labor. They are very good. They are very responsive."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/sycamore/knodle%27s-appliance-service-company%2C-inc-reviews-2285360.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IL","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Charles W."},"reviewBody":"After a night of enduring warm air blowing from my home's A/C vents and finding an iced-up evaporator coil in the basement, I called this company at 7:30 in the morning. Two technicians showed up at about 9:30 AM. I took a day off from work to make this repair appointment happen. They had a quick look at my evaporator unit in the basement, then headed outside to look at the compressor unit. One guy received a cell phone call, and went to the truck. The other guy removed the cover of the electrical junction box, disconnected the power to the compressor, then removed the compressor cover. When he saw it covered with ice, he said, \"Well, we can't do anything with this right now. We'll have to let the ice melt before we can service it. We'll come back later this afternoon.\" He wrote down my cell phone number. With that, he jumped in the truck and they were gone. He left the two covers off/open. By 1:00 PM, big thunderstorms had rolled in, and heavy downpours drenched the exposed air conditioner electrical terminals and the open junction box. At 4:30 PM, I decided to call and get an idea of when they might be able to return and finish the job. There was no answer, so I left a courteous message asking them to please call me as soon as possible. They did not return the call. At 6:40 PM, I called and said that I HAD to get the air conditioner fixed today because I would not be available the next day, and would they please call me. I said that if I hadn't heard from them within one hour, I would have to get someone else to do the job. They never called me back. I called another guy, who fixed the problem quickly and professionally. But I'd wasted an entire day waiting for the call that never came. So, in summary, these guys a). left my air conditioner unit (and its electrical junction box) open and exposed to the inclement weather, b). did not return when they said they would, and c). would not return multiple phone calls. This kind of treatment is why many repair service businesses have bad reputations, and Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning lived up to that bad reputation. There is no excuse for a lack of communication in this day and age of cell phones. And there certainly is no excuse for leaving a half-completed job open to the weather. I am very disappointed in the treatment I got from this company."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/rockford/affordable-heating-and-air-conditioning-reviews-2577435.htm"},"position":10}]}

The crew were on time and knew their jobs. They worked as a well oiled machine and were polite and helpful. I was kept apprised of what was going on both online and in person. This was a very good experience.

This was disappointing. I needed to replace an old 40 gallons, 40,000 btu Bradford White water heater that had started leaking and the pilot light kept going out. I compared dozens of options from several major retailers and really wanted to upgrade to possibly a 50 gallon tank and 60,000 btu...
Excellent service! Quick response. Cory was very knowledgeable, explained everything very well, polite, and professional. Our heat was not working and he saved us! I will be using Koalafied Heating and Air services again in the future. I would highly recommend using them.

Hero Heating explained everything prior to ordering the new unit, and installing. It was my decision to purchase a new one, rather than fixing the old unit, Installation took less than a half day.
We hired this company last week, even called to confirm the appointment on Saturday. Monday morning around 8:15am we called to see if they were still coming. The office said they had training and they would be here between 8-10am. At 9:45 we received a call stating their equipment broke...

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Poplar Grove, IL
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
