We are Local Lawn Care & Landscaping, Our owner and employees are local college students who have created a lawn business out of what began as weekend mowing jobs. Average yards start at $25 and includes mowing, weed-whacking and blowing off walkways and driveways. We offer weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or just a one time cut, whichever you prefer.

"They did what they wanted to! After signing the contract indicating I wanted the services to be done in the fall, while I was at work one very hot June day, my Ring doorbell indicated someone was back and forth in front of the door. I got a chance to view my videos later and was dumbstruck as to what equipment was in front of my house doing lawn work- I thought someone had dispatched workers to the wrong house. When I got home, I realized my lawn had the service done on the hottest, driest day in June. I called to ask them why they did my lawn, unannounced, on this intolerable day in June, and Dee Paquette (office manager?) indicated that the services were supposed to be done and that Carlos and his crew were supposed to be out at my home. I told her I knew nothing about that. She then further argued that this hot June day was the perfect time to do the yard work I requested, although from previous experience, I know this to not be so from other companies that had aerated my lawn. I've lived here for 25 years and never heard such nonsense! I then noticed my horizontal 5 foot downspout that spanned through a garden bed was bent pretty bad right in the middle. The only thing that could have done that is the aerator catching the end of the downspout that stuck over the rubber edging by about an inch, and it bent in the middle because there was a large bush stopping the momentum of the downspout getting dragged with the machine. I had paid them, reluctantly I might add because I did sign a contract, but not to have them ruin my property. (Not to mention, I've been battling with trying to grow the lawn back because the detaching stripped everything in the heat.) After more than a month of sending them pictures, arguing with them, getting contractor quotes to replace the downspout, they simply refused to pay for the downspout because Dee said "We can all agree that you have a damaged downspout, however, we are standing firm that we are not responsible for that damage". Of course, I don't have a video to prove it or another witness to say otherwise, so I have to eat this cost. I only decided to go with this company because I knew Joe Colonero, the GM there, when he was running his lawn business while he was still in school, and I thought he would still be forthright after providing me good service in the past. I even indicated to speak with Joe, and that was bypassed. WARNING: Do not sign any contracts with this company because they will do what they can to collect your money and they do what they want. Extremely disappointed! Lesson learned"

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Don't pick up or dispose of aeration plugs. They will break down by themselves in one or two weeks. Rainfall will speed this up, as will watering the lawn. Mowing helps, but don't mow the grass too soon post-aeration. It's unusual that the plugs would remain after three or four weeks, but mowing and raking will break them down by that point.

Lawns can be high maintenance, and therefore require regular spending if you’re not up for doing certain lawn care tasks yourself. But you can save time and money on lawn maintenance by mulching, composting, and planting species native to your area, so they keep alive with less ongoing TLC from you.

Yes, you should water the lawn after aerating. Now that you’ve loosened up the soil to better receive nutrients, it’s time to hydrate and fertilize your lawn. You’ll want to keep it evenly moist to promote healthy growth. Don’t drown your grass—too much of a good thing can reverse all the work you’ve done with aeration in the first place. But especially if you’ve overseeded and/or fertilized after aeration, you’ll want to ensure a moist soil layer to absorb those nutrients and fuel for new growth.

Experts recommend aerating a lawn at least once a year. If you haven’t aerated your lawn recently, or if it has a significant amount of thatch buildup, you may need to aerate it twice annually for a few years. Keeping up with a regular aeration schedule helps ensure the long-term health of your yard.

Yes, it's usually necessary to water the lawn after liquid aeration. Water helps activate the aeration product and distribute it evenly into the soil. Proper watering also aids in breaking down soil compaction and enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment. Follow the recommended watering guidelines provided by the product manufacturer to ensure that your lawn receives the full benefits of liquid aeration and achieves the desired results.
