"Terrible. Floor boards replaced and they looked great originally but eight months later the floor is sinking and mr. Sandless says there is nothing they can do. Paid $1200 and the floors don’t look any different. The best part of the work was the board replacement and now that’s a loss. Would never hire again. Rude to my wife…yelling “ I ain’t moving no stove”. Just awful but we endured it hoping to see floors that were shiny and beautiful…going to just replace entire floor."

Restoring furniture generally takes less time because the fixes involved are mostly surface-level cosmetic repairs. In most cases, a project like this will be completed in one to two days at most. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

If your wood furniture is sticky after already cleaning it, it’s likely from using too many polishes or waxes. You’ll need to remove some of the excess wax with a cloth and warm water mixed with dish soap. You can then reapply the wax or polish afterwards, but try to use a much smaller amount and wipe away any excess.

In some cases, a simple clean, polish, and wax can make antique wood furniture look brand-new. However, always be sure to check the type and state of the current finish. Some furniture will require professional care, a new coat of finish, or even a new layer of stain to look like new.
