"I had called Contemporary Refinishing a few weeks ago and spoke with Mark about the work I needed done. Based on what I needed he gave me a quote but said that it may change once his worker looked at the work needed to be done. He had scheduled a day and time but i had to cancel because of death in my family and that I would be out of town.  This all happened the week of Oct. 1st.  I called Mark on Monday Oct. 8th and he returned my call that evening. We set a time for 11am Thursday morning once his worker had completed a job that morning. But Mark called me on Weds. evening asking if his worker could come at 9am due to a cancellation. I agreed and the worker was hear right at 9am as scheduled. He looked over the tub which is yellow.. I wanted to keep this color but was told by the worker that they only have three colors they work with and yellow was not one of those colors.  So I settled on white which matches the paint on the bathroom walls.  He began to do the prep work by removing the bathroom door and covering everything to guard against dust.  There was a strong odor from the chemicals he was using so I turned on my central air fans and used my ceiling fans whch helped. He also had an exhaust fan which he placed in the bathroom window to carry some of the odor from the fumes doors. He tcompleted the work including cleanup in just under three hours. The bathtub looked new when he finished. He gave me an instruction sheet on the do's don'ts to keep the tub in good condition. He went over this sheet with me making sure that I understood what I needed to do to maintain the bathtub in good condition. I gave the worker 295.00 which was the price quoted to me by Marc earlier. I am very satisfied with the work done and would use them again should I decide to restore my upstairs bathtub.

"They did an excellent job.  My old, early 1950's tub and tile looks brand new.  As part of the process they re-grout all the tile, remove and replace all the old caulking and get rid of any mold.  The finished job doesn't look fake or out of place in a 60+ year old house.  I had the vanity top done in a finish that somewhat resembles granite.  It looks good too and keeps the room from being completely white. 
I agree with everyone else who commented that the smell is obnoxious!  When the technician has to wear a respirator, you know it's bad.  They have a big fan with ductwork to remove as much of the odor as possible.  Luckily they were here on a day when having the windows open to help ventilate was no problem. 
The work took 2 days to complete including the installation of my new shower door (it's beautiful, too).  A day or so after the work was done I noticed a few areas that needed some touch-up so I call Tabatha and scheduled a return visit from Bryan.  The job from start to finish of the touch-ups took less than a week.
Even though my bathroom is only 5'x7', I'd put it up against any of those re-do's on HGTV or DIY!
