"He is a nice man, but his work was not good. He had someone mow for him who did not mow short enough to get rid of the weeds. Even though I asked several times, he did not pull the weeds in the cracks of the driveway or sidewalk. He did not do a good job of trimming the bushes or removing the weeds from the circles around the trees. I have tried to contact Kimani, but he has not responded. I do not want him to come to my house again. He came to my house unannounced a few weeks ago and mowed, but I was not here to pay him. I have not received an invoice for that mowing job, but the work done does not merit the $60 price we had agreed upon. Please contact me at 1-309-781-2674 if you have any questions."

As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.

Hiring an arborist is usually more expensive than hiring a standard tree company, but it’s typically well worth the investment. If you suspect a tree is infested or diseased, hiring an arborist can help avoid the same fate for nearby trees, and prevent removal. Arborists might also be necessary if you’re dealing with tree removal or trimming near power lines, as uncertified removal companies often aren’t permitted to service these trees. Finally, if your aim is to preserve the health of your trees, an arborist is absolutely worth the money.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)

Land-clearing projects often take professionals one to two days to complete, but your timeframe can get much longer—sometimes up to a week or more—if you need your pros to clear a large section of land, grind down multiple large trees below the ground, or clear especially dense or heavy materials, like landscaping boulders and brush.
