"It was our third time using The Handy Veteran and it will not be the last. Kevin and his team are absolutely top notch! Our first job with Kevin was to replace and paint all of the wood and trim in our entire house, replace carpet with LVP flooring on a third of the floors in our 3000sqf home, refaced our fireplace, install a new front door, & paint the entire house. Second job was to repair and paint our large deck. This last job was to replace more floors, remodel our guest bathroom and hang multiple lights fixtures. Our first job was in 2020 and the initial work they did is still perfect. Kevin stands by his work. He is not satisfied until the job is done right and was extremely accommodating to all of our requests. He wanted us satisfied and happy with the work and even made some great suggestions that really enhanced the final outcome. Him and his team are extremely respectful of our time, professional, friendly and trustworthy. Also very fair with their pricing! "

He is also extremely friendly and understanding. We had an initial problem with payment via Zelle, and he was willing to follow me to my bank to get a check instead! "Jim and his son arrived very quickly after posting on Angi. He listened to what I was concerned about and understood the problem I wanted to fix. They did a great job of taping up plastic to prevent drywall dust and other debris from spreading thru the house. He quickly worked on the drywall and did a great job of cleaning up everything afterwards. He went out of his way to look investigate the problem and provide me with some ideas on what to do next."

"Garage was built well. Wasn’t happy with the concrete guys they used.(0 stars)Thought I’d have a patio poured as they did the slab for the garage to make it easier. They ended up sloping it towards the house. Water runs towards my house on rainy days and sits behind my basement foundation. Very noticeable by eye too. When I put a table or chair on it, the whole set sits crooked. I have to wedge it with a piece of wood to keep it level. I have cracks in several places as well after the first year which I know no one guarantees but thats besides the point. Called them to address the issue but never got a response to the problem. I’ve had to look at it everyday for the last 2 years and it frustrates me. Called them back, explained the situation again…. even suggested to redo it at cost….they said they would get back to me ….but no response…again. They tell you about how good they are but when you try to address it, they don’t do anything. I guess I’ll have to tear it out and it replaced by someone else. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I gave them plenty of opportunities to make it right. It’s ashamed because I had a lot of people asking me for referrals. I even paid more that other quotes thinking they were different. I didn’t feel confident in recommending them. If anyone wants to see the work, please let me know. Hope it was worth it guys! UPDATE: 4/24 Bob proactively reached out to me and was unaware of the issues I had with the concrete. Internal communication issue? I don’t know. Apparently they've had issues with that concrete contractor and no longer use them. Garage4you said they want to make it right. Totally wasn't expecting that. Currently in the process of correcting the issue. I will update the review once completed. Just thought I'd let everyone know as you are gearing up for garage work soon. Maybe I was wrong and there are good ones out there. We shall see. UPDATE: 5/25 Well....a year has gone by and Issue has not been resolved. I reached out toward the end of summer thinking that they were busy and would do it in fall. Never happened. Obviously couldn't do it in winter. I told them let’s set it for early spring. I had to called in April to follow up. There has been no sense of urgency on their part. I keep getting the run around as if they didn't want to do it anymore. Not sure why this is so hard. You had a different contractor come out to validate that it wasn't done right. Then you put it in writing what needs to happen and it still hasn't. I even have all the texts archived. This is getting frustrating again but goes back to my original intuition. They are really good at telling you "how good they are" but when it comes to things like this, don't want to take responsibility; even though they acknowledged it. (which is worse in my opinion) Just wanted to get this done before I beautify my backyard as I know it will get torn up. I will give them one more week to schedule or tell me what is happening. If I don't hear back, I i'll most likely have to take it to the next step. Hopefully my next update is more promising. I've posted some pics so you can see what I am talking about. Pics don't do justice. 6/25/2025-Well. Now they are ignoring me. Guess I have to take it to the courts.............This is why contractors get a bad name! 9/25. Formal demand letter sent before it goes to courts"

"We used Eric and his team to give our house a complete face-lift...new kitchen, new bathrooms, wood floors, new doors, window framing, painting, can lights...I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. They did AMAZING work! Eric and his guys are professional, the communication was great, the finishing touches elite, and the job was finished on the date he said it would be done (which is unheard of). "Good value and good communication. Marco was able to start our re-decking project early due to weather conditions. He was very flexible with respect to keeping costs low, but refused to sacrifice quality. Late on a Friday he ran out of full length boards, and even though Iâ d approved allowing him to piece boards together, he decided to go back and get more wood since he didnâ t think weâ d be satisfied with the end result. He did this even though he knew it would delay the start of his weekend. Weâ re very pleased with the end result! Weâ ve recommended him to a number of people in the homeowners association."
