Drywall was installed over the damaged and aging lathe and plaster. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently each day over several days. The crew assisted in clearing the rooms of heavy furniture and dissembling where needed. The Process was smooth from quote to finish . The rooms and furniture were put back in order and there is minimal residual dust. The ceilings are now pristine.

Dave and his crew were categorically outstanding. Our lower level was a mess after a new sump was installed. It required new drywall and some drywall damage repair and painting. New trim was installed. Finally, a laminate floor was installed. Everything used was top quality. No corners were cut. They were focused on a quality installation and that's exactly what we got. The rest of the house was protected from dust, footprints, and other damage. Every evening the area was left clean and dust-free. When the project was done I felt as though I lost friends. I found Dave to be fair, clear, and honest to a fault. He is a good person. I apologize to Dave for the delay in posting this. But it gives me an opportunity to say it still looks as good as it did on completion. We could not be any happier. It was our fortune to find him. The final cost was very fair.

Dave's crew was excellent. They installed new drywall in an existing skylight well, and repaired cracks in our ceiling in several rooms. They were very clean and were very meticulous... Fantastic paint lines! Would definitely hire them again!

Fine- Dave’s crew chief Will and helper Bruce were professional, and very neat despite a messy assignment- did a great job!

We had to redo our front stairs because the wood was very degraded. We also were looking at replacing the front doors at the entrance of the porch. It was a small job, and some larger companies were not too interested doing it. Dave Lupfer showed interest in the job, and he recommended the use of timber tech Azec, a material more expensive than wood but that does not need to be painted every year or two in order to remain in good condition. The job took longer than usual in the Summer/Fall of 2020, thanks to the Covid-19 epidemic (during the same period we had to wait 3 months to get a new freezer delivered, so no blame here). Contrary to other companies that came for an estimate, Dave Lupfer right away said that the doors were made of really good wood and all they needed was being repainted and balanced. That saved us quite a bit of money. We had to wait for a while for the stairs because the factory making the timber tech Azec had been shut down for a while, due to Covid-19. The job was performed by Dave's crew early November, they replaced the rotten wood and railings with the Azec material, and we now have a great looking front entrance to our porch. The job looks really well done, with no misalignment or unbalanced parts. I would certainly recommend Lupfer Builders.

Dave and his team do quality work at a fair price. They were punctual, professional and positive. Dave and his on-site lead, Will, answered my questions and worked with me on design decisions that I am pleased with. His company is large enough to manage all aspects of the job (flooring, tile, carpentry, plumbing, etc.) and small enough to have a high-touch, collaborative feel. Highly recommended.

David did a great job on my bathroom remodel. He was easy to reach, was knowledgeable, on time, and kept the workspace clean.

Lupfer Builders was great to work with. I had Dave out on a Friday for a quote and he was able to start the work that Monday. It took about 2 weeks to finish the project and there were days that we were not able to be home when the worker was at our home. But, Lupfer Builders is very trustworthy and we felt comfortable leaving the worker in our home by himself which helped us immensely with scheduling. The work they completed was excellent quality - they even built a closet around our sump pump which another contractor who quoted us did not even suggest or include in the quote. Even with that closet, the work still cost us less than what we had been quoted by other contractors and like I said, was high quality. I would definitely recommend Lupfer Builders.

We absorbed a Pantry to add/create a bathroom with a shower. It went great, right on schedule. We supplied the finish materials. The project involved Plumbing, Electrical, framing and of course finish work. The team was great to have in the house. Punctual, clean and did great quality work. They were good about minor adds/revisions. I would absolutely hire them again!

This is the second time I've contracted Lupfer Builders - this time for two bathroom remodeling project and a closet expansion. Dave Lupfer is very knowledgeable and responsive/communicative. I had very specific specifications and designs in mind which he carefully noted. Where I was unsure, he offered expert advise. His team was very professional, skilled, and careful. They always consulted me when decision points surfaced in the project without making assuptions about what I wanted. The bathrooms and closet turned out beautifully. I would highly recommend him and his team.

I have used Lupfer Builders on 2 occasions and received excellent service and results. Dave's team provided tile work, painting, framing & drywall, plumbing, and electrical services. All of the work was professional, the job site was kept clean, and services were provided within the requested timeframes. I would hire Lupfer Builders again for additional minor or major remodeling work.

Great. Dave's guys were punctual, friendly and most importantly did nice work. Dave's proposal wasn't overly detailed, but he didn't nickel and dime and all and all of the work got done.

I would definitely do business with them, again. It was very easy doing business with Dave and his crew.

The people on this job (Paul, Will, Peter?, and Ricky, the electrician) did high quality work; were very pleasant to interact with; and helpful in answering questions. Paul (lead carpenter) came up with a way to cover some pipes that we had thought we'd have to leave exposed - ceiling looks even better, as a result. We're pleased with the work, which was done well.

Voicemail was NOT set up to leave a message and I tried 3 different times

Purchased $299 Contractor for the Day deal April 2017. The deal was not used until June 6, 2018 due to family situation. The request was to install closet shelves. Dave, owner of Lupfer, assigned two of his workers to complete the project. Since two workers was assigned the completion time was 4 hours rather than 8 and any extension of the agreed time would require additional fees. I agreed. The workers showed up without a stud finder, ladder, floor covering or any of the necessary tools to effectively completed the project. The scope of this project was detailed to Dave via email so there was no reason to show up without the necessary tools to perform the project. The workers only partially completed the task and cause significant damage to the walls. The work performed was below subpar. I notified Dave via text and he agreed to refund the $299. I agreed but thereafter Dave never responded nor was the money refunded. As a result, I contacted Angie List to reached out to Dave. Dave told Angie List he would refund the $299 only if he could remove the work that was performed. Reluctantly, I agreed to the removal of the work and the $299 refund. Numerous attempts to schedule a time with Dave for the work to be removed, were to no avail. Dave would acknowledge requests from Angie List but failed to response to any of my requests to resolve this matter. As 05.09.2019 there has been no contact or refund from Dave of Lupfer.

Outstanding job. Workers removed cabinets with great care and without demolishing my kitchen in the process.
