My teacher told me I was an apprentice about 2 years ago, however I had already known how to paint and cut fantastic. Knew things come easy to me, for example welding, that is combined with the best instructor is why I know how to do so much more than painting and welding. I can diagnose or replace water heaters and furnaces. If the water heater tank doesn't leak, it can be fixed. I can remodel bathrooms with ease. Even relocating everything in the bathroom or making entire second bathrooms. I love siding. Still need practice on kitchens. I can do new trim baseboards, casing, crown molding, and quarter round. Can repair drywall. I can fix or build stairs, along with fence repair or installation. Of course always ready to do, mowing, raking, and landscaping. Feel free to message me for any of the tasks listed maybe even more. I would say its all the same to me but I really enjoy painting and replacing furnaces, but am not picky. All good work for good pay is good work for good pay to me.

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

In addition to aloe vera and lilac, other effective humidity-reducing plants include peace lilies, Boston ferns, English ivy, spider plants, and lucky bamboo. These plants thrive in humid environments and can naturally lower moisture levels. Place them in areas prone to dampness for the best results.

You don’t have to spend a small fortune to make big changes to your landscape. You can achieve a lot for well under $5,000, especially if you like a DIY challenge. With a landscaping budget of $5,000, you could tackle a project like building a simple patio or deck, sprucing up your existing landscape with new plants, mulching, and tree trimming, or adding an impressive water feature. You’ll have no shortage of possibilities if you budget wisely.

As long as you’re building a greenhouse, consider the overall look of your backyard. Could it benefit from stone walkways or grading? As long as you’re hiring a hardscaping pro to lay the foundation for a greenhouse, you could tackle those other projects to give your whole yard a glow-up at the same time.

The average cost of landscaping is around $3,500, so you can start there if you’re looking to revamp your outdoor space. If you just want softscaping like mulch, flowers, and shrubs, you could get the jobs done yourself and spend just a few hundred dollars on materials. On the other hand, you might want to budget $14,000 or more if you’re looking for hardscaping, like pergolas, patios, walkways, and more, in addition to plants and mulch.

It is possible to DIY complete hardscaping projects, but in most cases, hiring a professional is best to get the job done correctly. Hardscaping—including installing patios, decks, retaining walls, walkways, and water features—is challenging and time-consuming, so the money you spend on a professional is typically worth it. Not only will the quality be better, but you could avoid problems that come along with a lack of hardscaping experience, like drainage issues that can lead to costly foundation damage and leaks in your home.
