I had been trying to find someone to do the work for years to no avail, I called Mr. Ruben and he was here within the hour to see about the job! The entire crew was amazing and did exceptional work... and in a timely manner! Very polite and courteous as well. I will hire them for any and everything I need done exclusively, honestly. "Axiom did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel, which involved adding an extension on the small existing kitchen and adding a new pantry and a new bathroom downstairs. They remodeled our upstairs bathroom too. All well done. The new kitchen is gorgeous. (Those pics of the kitchen with navy blue cabinets, white counters, and bamboo floors-that's ours.) We love it. So does everyone who sees it. Still can't believe how great it turned out. We have an old home (built ca. 1910) that needs a ton of work. The old kitchen had to be completely gutted. Extension, additional structural supports, a door moved, new windows added. And a new floor right down to the joists. The whole thing. It was a huge, complicated job. I talked to several contractors as well as a designer and structural engineer so I knew a bit of what we were getting into. So I was looking for a company I could really work with and trust. Axiom came through. The owners really care about doing high quality work. The company eliminates many of the problems people often have with contractors (like never being to get an answer back or know what's going on with the job) because one partner handles the logistics / materials ordering, and the other manages the construction site. One or the other got back to me right away whenever I asked a question, and they kept me posted about what was going on. We ran into some unexpected (and expensive) problems-that's an old house for you! But they let me know what was going on immediately so I could make decisions about what needed to be done and keep an eye on my budget. The construction manager also has a great sense of design. He really helped me figure out how to make the space work. (Ended up using his ideas more than anything the designer had given me. Glad I did.) Their entire crew was great too. Helpful. Polite. Got the job done. And dealt with any problem that came up."

"We got SAL?s name from friends of friends at church that they had built a new house for.
After a tour of their house we were set on SAL as our contractor. We had them remodel our master bathroom.  This
was a big project as everything was removed down to bare bones.  They guys showed up on-time every day and
always cleaned up the mess at quitting time. Scott & his crew are wonderful pleasant people that truly care about
what they do.  Our bathroom turned out perfect. We get so many compliments on the custom shower they built. Amazing!!!  I would recommend them to anyone. They aren't the cheapest contractor in town, but you get what you pay for.  We plan on having them back to replace our windows too!

"I never contacted the provider or used this service in anyway. I have to
write this review so that the request to write this review stops
popping up.
The rating is bogus as it is required to be able to submit.

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Enhances property value, ensures safety, and provides a sound basis for future construction.

Converting a carport into a garage can vary in difficulty depending on its configuration, the condition of the foundation or slab, and its location relative to the house. The process has a lot in common with a home addition, but you can often skip non-essential finishes like fine flooring, trim work, or even drywall and HVAC. The conversion requires experience with drywall, insulation, and other building materials to ensure it’s done safely and correctly. While it might be possible for a DIYer with the proper tools and skills to do the work, it is a complicated and potentially dangerous job. If you’re new to basic construction, it's best to leave this project to the professionals.

Yes, you can hang picture frames, shelves, and other items on Trusscore panels. For lightweight items (less than 30 pounds), the company recommends using adhesive strips rather than nails or screws. However, you’ll need to secure heavier objects to a stud in the wall. In these situations, Trusscore recommends cutting away the panel material and fastening the object to the stud with metal hardware.

Yes, a one-story house can have a load-bearing wall. The load-bearing walls in a single-story home are usually the exterior walls. If the house has a basement with exposed walls, the arrangement of the beams can help indicate what walls are load-bearing.

Most Cape Cod houses are two stories tall at the peak, although they’re considered one-and-a-half stories tall because the steep roof pitch cuts off a portion of the living space on the second story. Unless you raise the roof on your Cape Cod house to add a dormer, the interior rooms upstairs will lose some usable living space to the sloped ceilings.
