It was great. They worked really hard to move the piano which was quite heavy. Will definitely recommend.

The woman in the office who scheduled the move and took care of all the documents was extremely helpful and friendly. My apartment building is very strict and she worked over the weekend to ensure I had the proper COI. The men who delivered my piano were very professional and efficient. I am a petite woman and was alone when they delivered the piano and felt very comfortable with them there

  • H2H Movers Inc

The employees of H2H were all as professional as could be! They addressed all my concerns when I called their customer service line every time I had a question and moved my appointment a couple of times to work better with my building's elevator appt schedule and other things coming up. During the actual move, we had a 2-hour window for the elevator and had everything out of the apartment within an hour, out of the building within another 15 minutes, and off to the new house. They even made it easy for a small fee (really, it was small) to add an extra step to grab a friend's couch they were giving us and they only spent about 10 minutes there to get the couch safely and swiftly into the truck from their 3rd floor walk-up apt. Finally, at the house, we had 3 floors and tight spaces to negotiate. There was NO WAY my husband and I would EVER have gotten the couch from the back door into the living room without damaging lights or walls, but they did it quickly. Unloading everything from the truck only took about an hour, and they reassembled bedframes for all 3 beds we moved in and helped arrange things in every room. We even flipped the configuration in the living room, realizing it was not optimal, before they left. They were happy to do all of this and we were very comfortable right after they left. Also, they did have masks on the entire time and were respectful of our COVID-19 concerns as well as those of our friends and the policies of our old apartment building. Use H2H next time you move

Easy and right on time. Booked it only two days out. Guys seems careful and were very experienced in how to pack and move a 5'-8" grand. Only one was wearing a mask, though, so that could have been better.

We had 2 relocations. One from San Diego to Chapel Hill North Carolina. Now the second one from Chapel Hill to three different locations, Chicago, Portland Oregon, and Wisconsin. Our very first relocation was from Portland Oregon to San Diego. We used a cheaper company and we got what we paid for. I won’t go into the horror stories but we will never use anyone else besides Truckin Movers. Brad in the corporate office is extremely knowledgeable experienced professional in every aspect of the move. James the lead driver and field manager is amazing. He will do it your way not his way. He even woke up at 3AM parked his truck downtown at one of our stops at our high-rise just so he could get a more accessible unloading spot and make it more efficient for us. I can’t say enough about everyone in this organization. Bret

Thank you Sean and the Blankenship Crew! To say that "moving and finding a professional and reputable moving service can be overwhelming is an understatement" is an understatement. After an extensive search and review of moving companies and several telephone interviews I choose Blankenship Movers. I dealt with Sean who assured me that Blankenship was a Chicago Neighborhood business and that I would experience none of the shenanigans that so many experience with big name National movers. My move would not be an easy one. I had two properties, one residential and one commercial, that had to be vacated within 2 days of closing. Sean was right there regularly checking in as we waited for our closing to be scheduled and completed. On moving day the 6 man, 2 truck crew arrived on time and ready to go! After a quick walk through to best assess where to begin they got to it! They never seemed to stop! They worked so well together. Not once did I hear a grumble or complaint. Not once was there frustration expressed with each other or towards myself. Every time I tried to be of help I was politely told thank you sir but we got this. Several family members came to help with some of the million or so little things there are to do and were all blown away with the crews work ethic and professionalism. My family nicknamed them the "A-Team!" The Crew's quality shined even brighter when we got to our new home to unload. They could not have been more careful with our furniture or the floors and walls of our new home as they moved everything inside. They placed everything where we asked even rearranging one room that was already set up without complaint. Sean, Very sincerely, thank you so very much for all your and your crew's help! I will be recommending your company any chance I get! Bill M

It was a great experience from the moment I called for an estimate until the move was done. We downsized from a 3200sf, first floor condo to a 2200sf, third floor walk-up unit - 4 beds, 3 1/2 baths to 3 beds, 2 baths. (Our son just got his own place, so essentially everything moved with us, except for his bedroom.) We have a number of heavy, awkward items, including a baby grand piano, 8'x4' farmhouse table that doesn't break down, two large armoires, desks, etc. All of our stuff was handled with extreme care for the entire job. They were also careful not to mar or damage either property. Packing took an entire day, with loading/unloading the next. Both days started early for the guys; they were at our home between 8:30a and 9:30a both days, including being stuck in highway traffic due to a major accident on day 2. They checked in with us regularly to update their etas both days. General Manager Eric Seiler was fantastic to work with on pricing and scheduling. The crews were personable, professional, and fun the whole time. This is impressive considering that they did not unload the last item - the heavier armoire - until midnight! Overall excellent service. I could not recommend Blankenship Movers more highly

Blankenship did a wonderful job. Everything was wrapped up to be moved. The truck was loaded quickly and the house was emptied out efficiently. When at the other house, it was the same thing. Quick and efficient. The guys were nice, polite and good about asking where things went. I will use Blankenship again. We are thinking about getting a piano. I was impressed by Blankenshi

The movers arrived on time and immediately got to work. The four man crew made short work of the apartment and got to the storage facility quickly. Even having to work around the size of the elevator, both units were emptied and loaded on the truck...including the piano...within an hour of arrival. Upon arriving at the new house, they quickly and efficiently unloaded into proper rooms (when I had remembered to mark them) and asked for and responded to direction on the fly. They even helped get a bedroom set inside that had been delivered earlier. Incredibly helpful and very good at their jobs. Could not have been happier. All this into a house that was still being painted...without a scratch. The entire job came in under the initial estimate for cost and time. I cannot strongly enough recommend the experience Blankenship provided

TL;DR Had a fantastic experience with Blankenship Movers. Would strongly recommend. I received a call a few days before my move from Blankenship to discuss the move. They had me outline what was going to be moved and were upfront and clear with all costs and how many movers I would need and for how long. I ended up needing more than the two movers offered by the Angie's List special offer. We decided that three movers would be able to handle the job. The movers called ahead, showed up on time, and had me show them where everything was that needed to be moved. After that, I just stood out of their way and let them work. I was impressed with the efficiency with which they put my furniture into the truck, especially since my old place had some tight corners. There was an additional cost for moving the piano, but seeing how much care they took with it (wrapping it in furniture pads and securing it with plastic wrap), I was happy to pay the additional fee. This was a relatively small move as I had already moved most of my belongings myself; however, after seeing Bankenship Movers at work, I wouldn't hesitate to call upon them again to move a lot more for me (for example, their truck had a dozen wardrobe boxes for transporting clothes — normally a pain to move — directly from closet to closet). The cost was $40/person/hour plus a $40/person fee to cover driving out and driving back plus a $125 fee for moving the upright piano. They credited me for the amount I paid through Angie's List and paying by credit card for the rest was quick and easy. The only unexpected thing to occur was that, this being my first time using movers, I was unaware that tipping the movers is expected. That said, the level of service I was provided was sufficiently phenomenal such that a generous tip was well-deserved
