I am a long-time painter and sole proprietor of the newly founded Double-A Surface Renovations. I have two part-time employees that subcontract their labor to me on a job-by-job basis, when necessary. I use them for larger jobs or for jobs that call on their areas of expertise. I prefer to do the majority of finish work myself. I typically prefer to meet with a customer and write up a contract proposal. If an agreement is reached, I will submit an official contract, noting the cost of labor and the estimated cost of materials. I require 20% down on any job over $500. I will supply all of the materials required to complete the project and their cost is billed in addition to labor, when the work is complete. Total cost transparency will be maintained throughout the process. I can accept check or money order, with credit card capabilities coming soon!
