He then added several "toys" to keep the bird away- an owl face with metallic streamers, and four little bicycle reflectors to confuse it. Finally, he set up a speaker that broadcasts timed recordings of bird distress calls and predator bird calls. He came back a week later and painted the repairs, using paint we gave him. Final report- we have not seen the woodpecker since. Nice job!"
