They fixed the tuck pointing on our very old, crumbling limestone foundation and installed 3 glass brick windows. "We moved into a newer home that was just about 10 years old but had issues with major ice damming and icicles due to heavy snow. This led to water damage inside of the house as the ice was melting and making its way inside our home. I had multiple quotes from several roofing outfits and they just eyeballed the situation and wanted to simply re-do the flashing. Most did the assessment from the street without going on the roof. None offered a guarantee. I came across Swistun on the net and found that they required a fee to assess the issue. I was a bit hesitant but went ahead anyways and i am very glad i did. The owner Casey came out and spent time not only on the roof but also inside of the attic to see what the cause might be. An assessment was made and a very detailed and illustrated solution/proposal was created with several options including ones with guaranteed no-leak options. Construction was done last summer and Casey was there for the majority of the work done. His crews were on time and kept the grounds clean. It was completed within the time frame since weather cooperated with us. He also took care of a gutter leak for free while he had his crew out. Everything looked great in the end as he had to do some construction to widen an exit of my roof valley to provide better drainage. After completion, Casey even stopped by after a heavy rain just to make sure things were draining correctly and made some adjustments to correct a potential issue. Mind you, this was after i paid the bill so it wasn't something i was expecting as a followup. You can tell he has a passion for problem solving. The big test was the following winter. Even after the early winter snowstorm that dropped an incredible amount of snow in a short period of time, the icicles and ice dams never formed. The solution worked brilliantly well! Also on a side note, the process was very easy throughout the entire project as Lori is the main contact person in his office and is very easy to communicate with. Casey is also very responsive. Wish all companies worked in this manner! I wouldn't consider them a bargain comparing to a regular roofer. However, if you want your roof leak situation fixed correctly, this is the way to do it! Swistun is a class act from start to finish!"

From installing an outdoor light fixture, re-attaching an indoor stair rail, securing loose hand shower bar, to recommending matching grout color for repairing grout that was crumbling in spots, Art's work has always been top notch. "Neighborhood Remodelers did a bathroom renovation for us in 2020. Mike Cooper was the project manager. They also replace all of the trim on our second floor fast forward three years later where we replaced our upstairs flooring and came to find out that Neighborhood Remodelers used 3 inch trim and elevated on the wall to act like 5 inch trim. Extremely shady. We also came to find out that they buried an electrical box even though they told us that they wouldn’t do anything like that. extremely disappointed with this company. Please think long and hard before using them."

"I used this company for a number of years and the overall service is no longer the same. I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder. I will not use them going forward."

"Door install went well, it opens and closes and looks nice. now i just have to clean up all the dust that was left behind. literally have to mop and dust my entire first floor and upstairs. installers didn't hang any plastic. I called to pay the remainder of my bill and they agreed not to charge me the 2% credit card fee as consolation. so ... i'll use someone else next time."

"Had a leak in my roof by the chimney. Roof is 8 years old. The previous roofing company that installed the roof did not flash the chimney, and this was the cause of the leak. Gustafson Roofing came promptly to my house, identified the problem, offered me a written estimate the next day, and came three days later with a 5 man roofing crew and all of the correct materials to reroof a section of the roof, flash the chimney, and end the leak. They did very professional work, completed the job, and cleaned the site. The price was the same as the estmate. Would use them for a new roof in the future when that day arrives!"
