"We have used Paramount in the past and were pleased with the service. Not this time. I called to have someone come out to give an estimate of reseating two posts that had heaved over the winter affecting a gate. At the same time I requested an estimate to replace a lower rail that had been broken by workmen in our neighbor's yard. I asked that the estimate for the rail to be separated so I could show it to the neighbors for payment. The separate price for the broken rail was $550 because they would have to remove and reset two posts. My neighbor thought that was excessive and I should have believed him. When the workmen came they reset the two gate posts without any issue. Then they replaced the rail without having to do any post resetting. When I called they offered me a $75 refund. So replacing the rail cost me $475. The total job was a little over $1400 which I had to pay in advance. I will never use Paramount again."

This depends on where you are placing the iron railing. If you are installing a railing along a staircase, it would be a good time to conduct any necessary repair or maintenance jobs to the staircase itself. For added stability and aesthetics, you can use molding or framing around the lattice edges, attaching it to the wood with screws or nails—lastly, construction adhesive works when combined with other fasteners for enhanced durability.

You could also opt to buy it privately from a homeowner who is interested in recycling their own wrought iron materials. Manufacturers stopped mass production of wrought iron as steel became more affordable to produce, so you likely won't find it in any local big box stores.
