DESIGNfirst Builders LLCDESIGNfirst did a great job designing a new open concept kitchen and dining room along with a bathroom remodel. Our outdated kitchen and dining room were due for an overhaul. The design process was very professional and they were able to make revisions to meet our price range. The lead designer, Danielle came up with the innovative idea to We closed on financing and everything went into lock down literally the next day in March 2020. DESIGNfirst was able to guide us through material selection via videoconference and was very flexible in sending multiple samples to our door due to the pandemic. Demo started May 10 2020 and the work was completed late July on time and within budget. Could not be happier with the project manager Gary and the construction crew that made it happen each week. They were very attentive and professional following up on minor details and able to work around some minor kitchen faucet and tub shipment delays due to the pandemic. The remodel looks great and we look forward to enjoying the kitchen and dining room for years to come. Thank You DESIGNfirst!- Jim O.

The process went very smoothly, thanks to their professional approach. Workers showed up when they said they would and did excellent work, the designer came up with a plan to make the best use of a small space, and the project manager was always on top of things. Modern Quality Flooring IncDanny met me at our new condo in Oak Park right after our closing, and gave us several great options for our new bedroom floors. He took extra effort to give me 4 different estimates for each of the options. While he was measuring the rooms, he also pointed out an electrical outlet issue that I hadn't seen! His team did a fantastic job throughout! They neatly and efficiently removed all the old nasty carpeting, installed the soundproofing layer, the engineered oak flooring, and all the baseboards and thresholds. They were so patient and considerate while I had 2 electricians working on the same day (not exactly ideal, but couldn't be avoided). The most impressive thing to me was their attention to detail and quality work. Even the baseboards were neatly cut to fit around the old radiator covers perfectly. They also do kitchens and other jobs, and I plan to call Danny again for future work.- Carol C.

Handy Men & Mrs Helper Kitchen & BathWe moved into a new house this summer and used Handy Men & Mrs Helper to rip out over 1,000 square feet of carpet and replace it with hardwood floors. They also did interior painting. I fully trust Andy and his team to work independently in our home. His team is hardworking, professional and responsive. They are very detail oriented and when the project was suspended due to my daughter not feeling well they rearranged their schedule so they could come right back to finish once she was better. Klis flooring was referred to me by my sister. Have rental property, the living room floor was in bad condition (some boards had water damage and a few spots had dark stains) the bedroom was ok. Jack, the owner, assessed the situation and recommended what needed to be done. When the job was done, I couldn’t believe how beautiful the floors looked. You can’t tell which boards were replaced or where the stains were. I highly recommend Klis flooring. Jack does a fantastic job, he is honest and his pricing is fair. Definitely using him again.
