His company came in and cleaned off the land and leveled it after digging to find clay and packing new clay on top, so we could set our new home up. He found the water line, electric line, and sewer line. He replace the water and sewer and set the electric pole up for Ameren to connect to. He was amazing, efficient, and capable. "David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

"Basement Seepage Solutions was my fifth quote. I almost canceled because I was sick of getting quotes and all the big companies charge about the same $70-90 per foot of drain tiles. Matthew's company beat these quotes hands down. He charges $50 a foot plus $10 off a foot for Angies list members (a savings of $1000 for me.). This company beat the next lowest quote by $3,600 so this was a no brainer. Matthew's company did excellent work. They were on time and professional and communicated with me the entire time. Also, Matt is on site during the process and is not just a sales man who comes for a quote then sends out a crew. The job took two days mainly due to the Villages inspection schedule. But I think this is preferable over the big companies that want to do it all in one day but are in your house from 8-8. Highly recommend if you need any sort of basement work done"

"Mr McDonagh sent his worker the day after we agreed on a price to begin the project. He repiped the shower and removed a drum trap that was no longer in use and put in the base of the shower.
     Since I had to remove tile, the walls were not smooth. I had to replace one wall and cover holes in the other wall. It took me 10 days to accomplish this task. I called to have someone come out and finish the job. There was some misunderstanding about when the work was to be finished but we straightened it out and on 3/27/13 the work was completed. He did an excellent job and there was no need for me to clean up because he left the bathroom the way he found it.
