I’m a hardworking person who doesn’t like to leave projects half finished or looking sloppy, I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I’ve always fixed and built almost everything I needed myself and I take pride in being self sufficient. "Got my ductwork cleaned out and replace 23 outlet covers. All done in record time. "We own a home-based business which relies heavily on our computers operating efficiently. We have had a service contract with another computer repair business for several years. A few drips here and there should not be cause for concern, but if your unit is leaking a large amount of water, then it’s advised that you stop using it until the problem is identified and a solution is determined. The more you use it during a leak, the more issues it will cause.

You should plan to change your AC unit's filter every one to three months, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also clean the coils at least once per year, but if you have pets or someone in your household has allergies, you might need to clean them more often. Fortunately, many pros will clean the coils and change the filter for you during an inspection, which you should schedule once or twice per year.

This depends on the extent of the freezing. Some ACs only need an hour or two to thaw out, but others may need a full day to completely unfreeze. Once you turn off the system to let it unfreeze, check it periodically to make sure the drain pan doesn’t overflow.
