Condensation forms when warmer, outside air combines with cooler air in your ductwork. This can happen when there are leaks in your air ducts, your HVAC system has a dirty air filter, or there’s a lack of insulation around the ducts. To prevent it from happening, replace your HVAC filters as directed. Also, once every five years, hire a local air duct cleaner to clean and inspect them.

Your central A/C unit should be professionally serviced and inspected at least once a year to ensure it operates properly and efficiently. This is best done before the peak cooling season. A full-service inspection by a qualified pro will typically include checking safety components for issues like carbon monoxide leaks, verifying cooling components and coolant levels, and inspecting electrical parts like fuses and wiring.
