"Bobo Electric is fantastic. I had them come out to check some outlets last year and they charged a very fair price. At that time, I knew I would be needing a few more projects done in the near future, so I emailed them recently to get a price quote. They responded promptly to all of my questions. On the day they came out, they called before to let me know they were on their way. They arrived on time. I was having 2 bedroom ceiling fans replaced, a ceiling fan installed in the living room, an outdoor light fixture replaced, and a Ring doorbell installed. The crew of 3 workers had this completed in about 2 and a half hours, and that is even with some difficulty we encountered with the doorbell (not their fault). They cleaned up when finished (one worker even went into the closet to find a broom!) and worked efficiently. On top of that, they were all pleasant and chatted with me a bit. The price was more than reasonable for the quality work they did. I plan on using Bobo Electric again for future projects. If you have electrical work that needs to be done, go with these guys. You wont be disappointed."

Small jobs welcome

"“I hired this electrician to install recessed lighting in my living room. They arrived right on time, explained the process clearly, and completed the work efficiently. The installation looks fantastic, and they left everything clean afterward. Pricing was fair and matched the original estimate. I’d definitely recommend them and will use their services again.”"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

Many ceiling fan mounts feature a design that can accommodate slight slopes by using a ball joint mechanism at the end of the downrod. If your ceiling has a steeper slope than your fan allows for, you can install a downrod that will allow your fan to safely hang below the slope.

When choosing a mounting bracket, you have the option between flush mounts and downrod mounts. Flush mounts are the better option for low ceilings as they feature a lower profile. Downrod mounts are the optimal choice for rooms with high ceilings as they offer a pole that adjusts the height of the fan.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.
