"The furnace was installed with the existing AC coil. When Bob was doing the cold air returns I changed my mind and wanted more returns, one in each bedroom. Bob did the additional work and did not charge any more. Very impressed with the work.

I got 3 different estimates. Advanced Air was $3200; the other 2 were over $5000. The Goodman Furnace Bob installed was 95% efficient with a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger and 10 year on parts."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"Installers arrived a little late, however the installation went very well. They explained what they would do and aswered any questions I had. After the installation was complete, they gave instruction on how to set the thermostat and what to do to care for the furnace. Overall the experience went well and I would hire Sears again."

"The installation process was quick and efficient for Able and Willing. The properly measured for the furnace and A/C to operate at the most efficient levels. A year later the thermostat caused a short to the igniter and they were able to diagnose on the phone after hours to at least get us until the next day when they installed a new Google Nest thermostat. All though the thermostat needed a common wire in which the existing wiring only had wires instead of six they got the thermostat to run optimally!"

"My air conditioner was not working so I contacted my home warranty service and they sent a local company representative to checkout the problem. It was a capacitor - the technician installed the part and it has been working ever since."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and technical expertise required. Hire licensed professionals.

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

Most propane boilers last 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance and proper care. The lifespan depends on the quality of the unit, proper installation, and the level of maintenance. Investing in annual service can maximize longevity and efficiency. Routine inspections and timely repairs prevent early breakdown, ensuring your boiler heats your home for years to come.
