"I purchased a swimming pool from this company and paid half of the total price in a deposit of $4800 using my credit card. They strongly encourage you to use pay with a check and charge a 3 percent transaction fee for a credit card. After reading all of their negative reviews and BBB complaints, I felt that it was worth 3 percent to have the peace of mind that a credit card allows. At no time and no where on my receipt did it say I could not cancel and get a FULL refund. A week later they called me & told me that the pool I paid the deposit for was not available and they didn't know if it ever would be. They also wanted to have me switch to a different pool that was "significantly more expense at no extra cost to me" but couldn't provide me with any details of the pool so that I could check to see if it was legitimate. I requested a refund of my deposit because they could not provide what they had sold me. When I went in to pick up the receipt for the refund, I was informed that I would be charged a $144 transaction fee because I used my credit card. I refused and came home and called my credit card company and they advised that there is no transaction fee when a refund is issued. There are very limited options locally for pool companies, but PLEASE read the reviews on Yelp and elsewhere and the BBB complaints before you give these people any business, most read the same as mine."

It’s less expensive to leave your hot tub on all the time, though you’ll want to keep it at a reduced temperature. How much you use the hot tub is also a factor. Biofilm growth can cause a hot tub to feel slimy. Hot tub biofilm is a slimy substance that’s typically due to natural contaminants like makeup, soaps, skin oils, deodorants, or lotions. A hot tub can also have a slimy interior or slimy water if the tub’s filters are old or damaged, or if the hot tub isn’t properly cleaned. You should drain your hot tub, wipe away any slimy residue, then refill the water and use a spa purge product that prevents the buildup of biofilm.

You can and should use a hose to fill a hot tub. There shouldn’t be anything special about the hose other than it shouldn’t be damaged. Kinks or leaks could slow down the filling process. Attach the hose to the nearest spigot and get the water flowing.
