"Hired to install underground gas line to pool and garage. They were very courteous and professional. Cleaned up the job site well. The pipe work was a little sloppy (terminations were not plumb coming out of ground and garage termination was secured with metal straps instead of a nice pipe clamp)but they didn't hesitate to make it right and they did. The installer did over engineer the project by running 2 individual lines which unnecessarily added to the cost but the bldg inspector says all was done within code. The one thing I felt could have been done better was communication by the installer regarding where and how they would set the pipe terminations. Partly my fault for not being proactive and asking, partly there's for not asking where I wanted them and how. These guys are not cheap but overall they corrected any issues I had and were professional. I leak checked everything and installed the pool heater. All is good and we are happy."

They did cap the chimney (all I really wanted), they gave me a rather expensive quote for doing additional work that a local stove person said he didn't see the need for. "I called various companies, they either seemed to lack confidence to do the job, didn't want the job, or didn't know how to do the job without the gas on. When I called this company, they knew exactly what needed to be done. I made an appointment and took the day off from work. My appointment came and went with nobody showing up. I called and asked for an update and they said they were busy and would have someone out ASAP. The plumber showed up 45 minutes after the original 3 hour window I was given. The plumber had an appointment sheet with my name and info with the wrong appointment window on it. It basically seemed like my appointment got lost in the system and they didn't send someone out until I called to see why no one had arrived. The plumber was great, he really was an expert. He gave me a breakdown of what needed to be done and gave me prices. At this point I had been without gas for a few days and was ready to get this process going, which is why I was willing to overpay. The plumber then informed me that they charge extra because it was getting late, so I replied that it wasn't my fault because his company lost my appointment for an earlier time. He called in and they said they would do it. He did the work, did it well, was very knowledgeable, was very polite, and I got my gas back on. My biggest problem is the price, which is my fault because I agreed to pay it, I understand that. I agreed to pay because I was able to and needed my home to be fully functional for my children, not because I thought it was a fair price. The cost was $1900. As far as parts go, I don't believe it was more than $300 (3 ball valves, 1 pipe cap, joint sealant, air compressor, gas leak solution, air gauge with pipe to tap into gas line), that means they charged $1600 for 4 hours of labor. $400 an hour just seems high to me. Again the work was done perfectly, the plumber was an expert, I have no doubt that they can do multiple jobs at a very high level, and I understand that you get what you pay for, but it just seemed high."
