"This is the second house I have put new windows in within the last 5 years. This time I decided to go with a new company and different windows because I wasnt totally happy with the first home. This company is a little more expensive but the quality of window is so much better that I decided that overall the saving would be greater with this better window. What I didn't realize is that the quality of the work and materials used to replace my window is far better than I ever thought. The work is beautiful that was done so far. I'm glad I decided to spend the extra money to go with this company!! They are totally perfessional and great at what they do."

"Chuck M. came to our home and sole use the windows. Everything happened as he told us it would. From the installers contacting us to coming out and doing the measurements for the windows. Even the Financing. ended up with a slightly higher interest rate but was warned it could happen. They worked with us on the down payment, and the installers from Alside went above and beyond for us. I am so glad DaBella is who we went with. Everyone in my house loves the new fog window in our bathroom."

"I began accepting bids on June 15 with various vendors.  Treasure Valley Exteriors was able to do all that needed doing and I accepted their bid on June 30.  The work was completed within a month, and that included two weeks for the manufacturer to build and ship the window.  The siding carpenter and his assistant were on time, completed their work in a timely manner and were finished the same day.  The window specialist and his assistant arrived early and had the new window installed in about a half hour, including the cleanup.  With the upgrade to a more efficient window the difference in heat transfer into the house from the south-aspect window is VERY noticeable, making our air conditioner run less even on the hottest days.Gabriel and his two-person painting crew pressure washed the house and left it several days to dry before starting the paint job.  The painting of the entire exterior of the house began and finished the same day the window was installed, and that included prepping the house for painting.  The painting crew was clean and efficient and did all the trim work by hand with brushes.  Before the end of the day Gabe had me conduct a walk-around inspection with him on all the spray-painted portions of the house to make sure they met my expectations.  Then a bit later we repeated the inspection for the trim work, and Gabe touched up all the minor spots my wife and I were able to find.  One of the company owners (Matt) came out himself to the roofing work to mitigate the roof drainage and assure it traveled into the gutter.
Rockne Penka was the company sales representative I worked with from day one.  He was my contact and served as the ?contractor?s representative? to assure all work was done as timely as possible to agreed upon specifications and to our satisfaction.  I would recommend working with Rockne for a contractor?s representative in a heart-beat and will keep him in mind when I replace the other windows in my residence.
Treasure Valley Exteriors's bid was about one-third the cost of another bidder for the same work (less one vent screen that I decided did not need replacing).

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

Prior to the middle part of the 1900s, glass manufacturers used a technique that involved blowing glass into cylinder shapes that were then flattened out to create sheets used for windows and doors. This technique often left behind ripples and inconsistencies in the glass.

There are a few reasons your mirrors might have smears on them after cleaning, but the two most likely are remaining cleaning product and minerals from hard water. If you used a commercial glass cleaner, consider spraying down the mirror with a 1-to-1 ratio of white vinegar and water after cleaning and then wiping it dry with a cotton cloth. If you suspect hard water is the issue, use a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol to spot-clean the streaks, and then let the mirror air-dry.

Whether it's better to repair or replace a broken mirror depends on its size, value, and the extent of the damage. For small, inexpensive mirrors, replacement is often the better choice, as the average repair cost of around $200 can be close to the price of a new one. However, for large mirrors—like those over a bathroom vanity or large floor mirrors—repair is usually more cost-effective. A new large mirror can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, while repairs typically range from $50 to $200. You should also consider the mirror's age and sentimental value. Antique mirrors and family heirlooms are often priceless and irreplaceable, making repair the most sensible or only option.

Yes. Vinyl windows have a PVC frame that wraps around a glass panel that is usually made up of two thinner glass panels separated by an insulating, noise-absorbing airspace. Some vinyl windows are triple-glazed, with three insulating air panels within them. This glass helps keep your interior quiet from outside noise while its insulating qualities help your space stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
