"I have not had my gutters cleaned in six years. Contacted Gold Gutters LLC one day, and they fit us in the next. The two nice young men shared that my gutter was the muddiest they'd seen. Appreciate the prompt & professional service."

"It was pouring rain and tough to figure out where the leak was coming from. Ended up being a result of screw up from contractor who didn't lay flashing when incorporating roofing of an addition (Erwin Construction). I was over a barrel, but Clearview was thorough and professional. Owner, Scott Jansen has a lot of integrity. His workers were efficient and left the place clean. Price was very reasonable."

Small jobs welcome

"I called late in the season, they came out right away. They arrived with in the time frame they said they would. Was very happy with the service. I already recommended them to a friend. When I called, I did not know how many zones I had, so they quoted the adverage price for the adverage amount of zones. The price ended up being higher due to the fact that I had over twice the amount of zones. (That was my fault.) I would use them again."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, caulking or sealing your vinyl gutters is a good way to help prevent gutter leaks. When you’re installing gutters, it’s important to overlap the sections to help avoid issues like leaks or drips, but they can still happen. In this case, adding caulk can help. Make sure to use a caulk designed for multiple surfaces, like a silicone-based caulk. You can also purchase a gutter sealant as well, which is specifically designed for this purpose.

One of the biggest causes of gutter leaks is clogged gutters. If your gutters are full of debris and leaves, water will back up and eventually overflow outside of the gutter. Other common causes of gutter leaks include loosened gutter fasteners, faulty gutter slopes (sagging gutters), separated joints, and cracks or holes.

The cost to repair copper gutters typically ranges from $200 to $1,500. The final price is determined by the severity of the damage, current material costs, labor rates, and whether any additional reinforcements are needed for the repair.

When you need to repair your galvanized gutters from leaks and caulk isn’t doing the job, you can solder your gutters with a roofer’s soldering iron. First, you’ll need to clean your gutters thoroughly with a wire brush and remove rust and oxidized paint. Next, you’ll make weld points on the gutter and solder over the connection until it’s completely smooth. You can also hire a roofing company near you to tackle this project.

How long hangers last will depend on what gutter material they’re made from, but generally you can expect to get at least 10 to 15 years from them no matter what they’re made from. But don’t wait for them to break to give them a checkup. Inspect this part of your gutters on a yearly basis, and make repairs at the first sight of damage.
