Habiscapes will work with you to create a xeric landscape that will reduce water consumption and maintenance by utilizing beautiful, indigenous plantings. These water-wise and fire-safe landscapes incorporate special designs that showcase drought tolerant shrubs, trees, grasses, perennials and stone. Our landscapes are guaranteed to attract local wildlife, including birds, bees and butterflies, into your gardens and natural areas. We are typically booked months in advance so please plan accordingly...we do not install concrete curbing, driveways or walkways but opt to work with natural stone or paver products.

"We tried getting few quotes from different landscaping company and had hard time getting commitments on their calendar for over a year until we found Michael from Habiscapes. He was very professional, knowledgeable, organized, trustworthy and easy to work with. [*** Link removed ***] After reviewing the landscaping design in September, we got on his calendar for first week in June and he was spot on to start the work as planned. Michael gave excellent design suggestions to work on our project with native plants, habitat, steep slope design and keeping the budget in mind. Michael’s entire crew was very professional starting with his team supervisor James and rest of the crew Taylor and couple other guys, Who all did an extraordinary job. They all were always sharp on time in the morning at 8:30 am and packed up sharp at 4:30 pm giving us heads-up on the work planned for the next days and where we were on the schedule. This helped me and my husband plan our work schedules etc. They all worked hard moving huge boulders from the front to the back slopes, setting large few feet wide stepping stone slabs steps carefully so they do not damaged out front driveway. They did complete sprinkler work and setup vegetable beds. They completed our project as planned and updating us as they went where the sprinklers were and how to maintain the new landscaping for long term. They left our property and our neighborhood clean without leaving any mess. Couple of our neighbors were also impressed and already have started to work with Michael on their landscaping projects. Writing reviews is not my thing, but this crew were fabulous and deserve highest recommendation that anyone would be looking in a great landscaping company. I am already planning to work with them on my back patio paver project next. Thank you Michael and crew!!"

"Repair Clinic sent me a water intake valve that had some scuff marks and an unnecessary fixture (which I thought nothing of, assuming it had been removed from a new dishwasher). When the part did not fix my dishwasher's issue, I ordered a circulation pump, which also failed to fix the issue, so I decided to return both parts. Repair Clinic blamed me for the scuff marks and extra fixture, which is unacceptable. They referenced their return policy which states that parts which have been installed cannot be returned, and denied me any form of refund. For all I know, the water intake valve was defective, and I have no recourse. Don't put any stock in the "No-Hassle 365-Day Returns" they proudly tout on their homepage. Instead, expect finger-pointing and uncaring dismissal. You are better off with one of their many competitors."

Aerating a lawn before seeding it or adding new grass seed is a smart decision. By loosening up compact soil and allowing it to take in more air and water, your seeds will have an easier time establishing roots and growing. Aerating beforehand also means your seeds will have better contact with the soil, so more of your seeds have a chance to germinate. If you do plan to aerate your lawn before seeding, aerate about two days before you plan to start seeding.

Carpetgrass is a low-maintenance grass requiring little fertilization that thrives in subprime growing conditions. However, regular mowing is necessary to avoid the growth of unsightly seed stalks, and you may have to water it frequently to prevent drying out the soil. That includes watering the grass over dry winters to help keep it healthy, and it may start dying out in particularly cold climates where it grows poorly. Carpetgrass can also be vulnerable to some types of turf fungus, so it’s important not to overthatch. 

Lawn aerators range in cost depending on what type of aerator you’re purchasing. For example, a manual spike aerator might cost as little as $25, while a motorized core aerator will likely cost more than $1,000. Fortunately, these expensive pieces of equipment can be easily rented from many vendors for far less money.

One of the most effective ways to improve lawn absorption is to learn how to aerate your lawn.
