"I am building a cabin at Priest Lake and shopped a few places for granite counter tops. I had driven by Living Stone before and decided to stop in and take a look. The moment I walked in and met Tim and their staff I knew we would end up buying here. I know that sounds crazy without even getting a quote--but after our previous encounters at other places, Living Stone was an amazing breath of fresh air. The whole process was amazingly smooth, thorough, every timeline was met and the end result was amazing counters with impeccable service and workmanship. I can't possibly say enough to express my gratitude for meeting and exceeding all expectations. I cannot remember the names of the 2 gentlemen that performed the installation but they were both top notch and did an amazing job--Thank You all for making the process an amazing experience. It is much appreciated!"

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

Tile removal costs about $2 to $7 per square foot unless you do it yourself. When you hire a pro, tile installation costs $5 to $45 per square foot. Costs vary widely, but they depend on the tile material (custom-made stone tiles cost significantly more than plain ceramic tile), location, and tile size.

Professional installation ensures a uniform, durable surface, and proper sealing, and guarantees workmanship quality, preventing future issues linked to water damage or instability.

The most common issues homeowners run into when installing granite floors include uneven tiles, improper sealing, grout discoloration, and cracks that result from subfloor movement. Hiring an experienced granite flooring professional and ensuring proper subfloor preparation can help prevent these problems from occurring and extend the life of your granite flooring.

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Also, avoid walking over less stable ungrouted floor tiles as they are more prone to premature cracking and shifting.

You can purchase natural stone tiles from your local home improvement store or stone distributor.

Simply put, natural stone flooring is a high-end style that outlasts its wood and carpet counterparts. After finding a style you love, a stone flooring company near you can help source and install them for a reliably clean look.
