"The main reason I picked 4.5 is that they pushed for an additional $10 saying there was one extra window I didn't tell them about. I counted again and my number was correct. To give them the benefit of the doubt, 5 windows were 6.75 feet tall but were only 2.5 feet wide.Maybe that was the reason."

"The 2 young men did an outstanding job. I am very happy with my clean house and windows. They were quick to adjust to my service add for something I forgot to initially request. I will now be using their "every 6 month" service."

"After clearing out my mother's home of 31 yrs, Coupl'a Cleaners came in and cleaned everything from scrubbing walls, a whole lot of windows, kitchen & bathroom cupboards, shower stalls and toilets, and the oven to vacuuming the two-story fully carpeted house including closets and sliding-door tracks, mopping tiled entry, kitchen and utility-room floors... nothing was left untouched by a Coupl'a Cleaners! The house looked marvelous, was listed for sale the next day, and had an offer the very next day. LorI Hill is thorough, wonderful to work with, and Coupl'a Cleaners is driven to provide clean results. I don't hesitate to highly recommend!"

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on fabric type, drape size, cleaning method, and whether additional services like pressing or deodorizing are included.

In most cases, you should get your windows cleaned one to two times annually, although you might want to complete this task more often if you live in an area with heavy pollen or heavy rain or snowfall that soils your windows. It’s also a good idea to hire a professional window cleaning service if you’re listing your property, as sparkling windows will make a big difference in terms of curb appeal and, potentially, your home’s value.

The best way to clean outside windows is by using a garden hose. Start by spraying the windows with a high-pressure stream to clear off loose dirt and grime. Then use a mixture of hot water and dish soap and scrub the windows with a sponge. Rinse off the soapy water with the hose. Before you finish up, spray the windows with a solution of vinegar and water and wipe them down with a microfiber cloth.

A professional cleaning service generally takes a few hours, typically between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the property's size and the severity of any stains. Keep in mind that wet cleaning methods will require additional drying time.

Window cleaning depends on how the cleaning service defines their deep cleaning tasks, so pay attention to the details. You certainly should make sure window cleaning is included in the package. Some services will include it as an add-on, so you may have to pay extra. Find out if the cleaning includes interior windows only, or interior and exterior windows. Exterior windows may cost more.
