One of the Blackstone Exteriors representatives dropped a business card at my home a few weeks ago, and I eventually made contact with him. We discussed roofing arrangements, Blackstone agreed to do the roof for the amount of insurance settlement. It took about another 10 days, but I received a couple days notice of when the crew was to arrive. The crew of 7 workers arrived at their appointed time, immediately set out to work, stripped off the old damaged shingles, prepared the underlayment for the new shingles and a few short hours later, my roof was done. The crew cleaned up the area of scraps and hauled away the trailer full of the old damaged shingles. The only small complaint I had was that the roofing crew failed to run a magnet around my house to pick up stray nails. I had to borrow a co-worker's to get the job done. I brought this up to the company representative who then took off an amount we mutually agreed upon on the day we settled up. Overall, so far I'm very satisfied with the job. Our credit card payment to them is currently in dispute as they did not follow their service guarantee and we were dissatisfied.
When they exchanged the mattress the first time, we were told that they would be happy to help us with any future problems. We told them at that time if this second mattress does not work out we won't want another one but would want a refund. During the 221 days we had tried to get them to come out and measure again, but they never did. I had made dozens and dozens of calls to them and was told that I needed to speak to Jennifer, the owner, but we were only able to speak with her once. She told us that a refund was not an option. They said that they did not need to measure because they were going to give us another mattress, but we said we do not want another mattress just our money back. They are unwilling to provide any refunds.

My project: I purchased my home 3.5 years ago & it started getting water in the basement last year after the outside drainage & tiling system put in my previous owners failed miserably. It would literally be full days of pumping water out of multiple locations in my basement. There were issues of moisture even with two dehumidifiers running & subfloors the crew took out & cleaned up after as well. Scheduling: They will schedule a ways out for appointments but only because it's a high demand working system. Others may be able to offer services quicker but there is likely a reason they are not busy. I got several bids in the time I waited for my MidAmerica Basement Systems appointment & encourage you to as well but definitely wait until after your appointment to make a decision. They were not the cheapest but had the best guarantee (100%), best working system, and a few things I've learned in my 20 years of homeownership is if you go cheap & need to redo it your typically spending more than if you did it right the first time & your home is not something to skimp on or take chances. MidAmerica Basement Systems will send you detailed emails as to what you can expect for each appointment.
