"Professional quality craftsmanship. By far the best experience I have ever had with a roofing contractor. From the initial visit to site clean up. This contractor has a system that gets the job done right. Highest quality in materials and labor. They did complete tear off, re sheet and gutters. During to process kept me informed and offered solutions to unexpected problems found. This was a 20 year old roof they replaced on a 90 year old home and needed major repair. Andrews offered quality solutions. Delivered to promise. Their process and genuine concern for quality was very evident throughout. Highly recommend without any reservations"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Well-maintained trim boosts aesthetic appeal and prevents costly future repairs.

Cracks in the chimney can be very serious, depending on their location and size. Even small cracks can become serious over time if left unrepaired. Cracks allow heat and moisture to deteriorate your chimney and harmful carbon monoxide gas to seep into your home. Small cracks can often be caulked, while large cracked sections may require full replacement.

Failing to repair damaged stucco can lead to significant problems. Cracks can grow and deepen, allowing water and moisture to get behind the stucco. This moisture intrusion can cause water damage, structural issues, and mold or mildew growth. Delaying repairs will likely cost more in the long run as the damage worsens, so it's best to repair your stucco as soon as you notice any signs of damage, such as cracks, holes, or discoloration.

Yes, you can apply the stucco yourself, but it is a time- and labor-intensive project, especially on the exterior of a whole house. DIY stucco is better suited for repairing stucco siding or siding a smaller building, such as a shed or garage. Since most of the cost of stucco siding goes to labor, you can cut down significantly on the total if you’re up for the challenge.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.
