We have artists that are highly skilled in murals, sign painting, spray paint, and faux finish. We would be happy to work with you to bring wonder and excitement into your space.

"Rebecca Harrison has done a miraculous job of creating not just an incredible work of art for my formally stark dining room, but managed to incorporate a representation of many of my favorite memories. I asked for a murella that would remind us of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park where my family has spent so much time. I enjoy getting lost in the feeling of flying over these special places, and recalling specific memories of my sons catching their first fish, sledding, skating on the ice covered ponds, and camping near the herds of elk in the fall. I remember anniversaries, birthdays, crafts, family reunions. My experience with Rebecca was amazing! She collaborated with me on what I wanted on my mural, what I wanted it to represent, and what colors she thought would look good in my space. We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

The color of the paint, its opacity, and the depth of the texture on the paper all affect how many coats of paint you need to apply to paintable wallpaper. You'll need at least two coats of paint to ensure even coverage. Don’t be surprised if you need to apply three coats if the embossing is very deep or if you use a dark color.

Your peel-and-stick wallpaper can fall off for multiple reasons, including high humidity levels, extreme temperature changes, poor installation, and even the wall surface. Textured walls can prevent the adhesive from fully sticking to the wall, making it more likely for the wallpaper to peel off. Low-quality wallpapers with weaker adhesives are also more likely to fall off prematurely.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in. 

If you need a stronger magnetic surface, or you need to use a different type of paint in the room (like waterproof paint in a damp basement), there are other accessible options. You could fit a steel panel over the wall, try magnetic wallpaper, or apply chalk paint instead. 

If you want an inexpensive shortcut, hang a pinboard or chalkboard on your wall. These removable options are ideal if you’re a renter who can’t repaint or plan to move in the near future.
