Customers say: Super punctual

"We have only had the estimate, agreement & hire, so far, but I am very pleased with this company. They came out on a blizzard-like day, were on time, friendly & had good communication. We agreed on a price for the intended Trim Trees job, and scheduled it for this next weekend, as it should be nicer weather out then. I'll post photos of the before & after, once the job is completed. Thanks for all your help, Angi."

"I highly recommend Ground Line Company for any excavation or utility prep work. I’ve partnered with them on multiple jobs, and their attention to detail is top-tier. They are precise with their depths and layouts, which is critical for electrical inspections and code compliance."

"they did me very good. they worked hard to finish the job on the tree in one day. also they worked smart and safe. the job they did at my place was outstanding.i have more work for them in the near furture and i plan calling them back to do the work. they made sure everything was picked up and the yard was all cleaned up once again when i need more work done im differently going to call them also i would refer them to freinds and family that have tree work that needs done. thankyou i give them a 10 because they earned the highest rating by showing they worked smart and they worked hard."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Early signs that a tree is struggling include premature leaf shedding and lesions or other strange markings. Peeling bark, dead or rotten branches on the ground, and a conspicuous lack of leaves can all be signs that a tree has started to die. By the time a tree starts leaning, it’s usually too far gone to save.

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).

Full decorating services often provide rental trees for their Christmas packages, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one. However, individual interior decorators and others may not offer rented trees, so always check the specifics of their services before booking. Keep in mind that you’ll need to prepare the Christmas tree for pick-up shortly after the holidays.

You should not trim an oak tree in the summer. Oak trees are especially susceptible to disease, and open tree wounds are an invitation for beetles that carry tree-killing fungus. If there’s no risk that the oak tree will do damage to your property or hurt someone, it’s best to save the trimming for fall or winter. If you can, seal the wound with latex to prevent fungus from getting inside.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.
