"This is the second time we have used Chandra. She repainted our bathroom cabinets, vanity, shutters and replaced the hardware. The color I chose wasn't exactly how it looked on the box so she added black to it and it came out absolutely perfect!! I highly recommend her- she is booked out a month or so in advance and because she is really good- she is worth the wait."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Bumps, wrinkles, or detachment often require stretching for smoothness.

Plywood is the best type of subfloor for a mobile home, though if you’re installing flooring in a bathroom, you may want to install a vapor barrier or use a moisture-proof subfloor material like Amdry. OBS is similar, but it can swell when moisture is present.

Either way, old mobile home subflooring made from particleboard can cause issues with your joints. If you’re replacing your subfloor, it’s best to upgrade to plywood.

Vinyl plank flooring is widely considered to be the best flooring for mobile homes. It’s designed to look like other materials, such as hardwood or stone, for a lower cost. It’s durable, waterproof, and easy to install. Engineered hardwood and laminate flooring are also good options.

Start by removing any debris, nails, or staples left behind from the old carpet. Next, thoroughly vacuum the subfloor to eliminate dust, dirt, and loose particles. If adhesive residue remains, consider using an adhesive remover or scraper to lift it off gently. You can also use a sander. Finally, wipe down the subfloor using a damp rag to ensure all remaining dirt and residue is gone.

Avoid placing carpet in the bathroom or the kitchen. After all, moisture is no friend to carpeting. Beyond that, it’s down to personal preference. Some people dislike when a garage or basement features carpet, but others enjoy it.
