GARRETT WATERPROOFING

After living in my home for a year, there were some minor leakage. I contacted Garrett and he recommended having the epoxy injections done. It has worked. I did not have any problems working with Garrett Waterproofing, he was honest and told me up front what I needed. What he charged me was $400.00 which I thought was OK. I do not know what he charged the previous owner for the sump pump, etc. I wouldn't have a problem with hiring them again.

We called for an estimate of the placement of a sump pump and to fix a crack in the foundation that was leaking. They called on on a Wednesday (7/3) to say they would be there Friday at 8 am. We adjusted our plans so we could be home to let them in and we around while they worked. They did not arrive as planned and did not answer the phone nor return messages. They finally showed up at 1 pm without explanation and proceeded to cut/dig the hole for the pump and cut the current drainage lines. They walked out at 4 pm without a word to anyone or any indication of when they would be back. We received inches of rain the following day and they large, deep hole was filled with water. We have 3 small children and no way to block off the area. They did not show up on Monday nor return calls until 5 pm when they stated they would be at the house at 8 am Tuesday. They did show up Tuesday, but not at 8 am. They did not finish the work that day either and said they would be back Wednesday (7/10) to finish up. They did not show up or call or return messages for several days. They finally called today (7/19) to say they would be by "within the hour" to finish the work. That was at 10:30 am. It is now 1:30 pm and we have not seen nor heard from them. Hopefully they will show up eventually to finish their work. The bill arrived promptly on (7/10) however...for twice the estimated amount.

I am totally disappointed in Garrett Waterproofing. Eleven years ago they sealed a crack in our basement wall with the lifetime guarantee that, if there was a leak at the site that was fixed, they would come back and repair it. A few weeks ago we had a leak and I called them. After repeated daily phone calls left on their answering machine, we finally got a reply six days later from the office receptionist. She promised they'd come on Tuesday, March 19, to fix the leak. In the meantime, we have had snow melting and a two-day rain - and the small leak is now a running waterfall. They did not show up that day. The receptionist called an hour and a half before our repair appointment time and said the repairman was out giving an estimate on another job, but would definitely call when he returns in about an hour. And he still has never returned that call. I called them every day since then just to get an answering machine again. I would not hire this company ever again. The promises they make are not worth the paper they are written on.
