"Chase was in contact with me from the go. He was always positive and polite. On moving day Chase and John packed up my furniture quickly and put it in their truck neatly and gently. They even disconnected my washer and dryer for me. At the new house they quickly unpacked the truck put furniture where I wanted. They moved the old washer dryer into the garage and moved mine in. A consolidated freight service will pack, load, and ship your items, but this is best to use for one or two pieces since your items will take longer to be delivered and will share truck space with other items. Parcel shipping such as UPS and FedEx is best for smaller items since there are size limits, and you’ll have to drop the boxes off at a local branch.

In most cases, you will need at least three able-bodied people to move a gun safe. Since gun safes are bulky and heavy, they can easily tip when you try to load them on the dolly and onto the truck or trailer. The more help you can get, the better! You should also consider hiring a team of professional movers to help with this heavy-duty move.

At the low end, a simple consumer treadmill may weigh around 200 pounds. At the high end, large treadmills made for gym use with lots of bells and whistles can weigh up to 500 pounds. Research your treadmill’s make and model to determine its exact weight before attempting to move it.

If the dishwasher is in working condition, start and run a complete cycle with nothing inside. Let it drain and sit overnight before removing the hoses. In theory, it should effectively drain. You may find residual water in the hoses, but you can plug them. If the dishwasher breaks down midcycle it can sometimes be full of water. You’ll need to manually remove the water with a plastic cup before removing the dishwasher.

Unscrew and remove furniture legs if possible. If it’s not possible, then run the straps parallel on the inner side of the furniture legs. Never put your straps on the outer side of legs where they can easily slip off.
