"Have used this company twice and would highly recommend. First time they leveled a patio that had sloped towards the house which was causing water problems. That job was done above and beyond expectations. Second time they raised the front walk from the driveway to the front porch with excellent results. Absolutely no mess with incredible results. Very willing to work with you."

"I saw this company at our local Home Show, and called the next Monday. Nick from Midwest Basement Systems came down to give me an estimate, he was very professional, and he followed up to make sure I did not have any questions or concerns. The crew was very professional making sure plastic was down and minimal disruption working very quietly! There was a follow up visit to make sure all the work was done according to the contract and to my satisfaction, again extremely professional!
We had a major rain since and I am happy to say there was no water in the basement and no musty smell! The humidity has dropped from a norm of 62% without rain to 41% with the Sani dry! I can even leave my basement door open, something I could never do before! I could not be more pleased and I feel it was worth every penny, because I have peace of mind! I am certain my utility bills will reflect a significant savings in the near future. I just wish I would have known about Midwest Basement Systems sooner. Great company, great product! I am sold!"

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.
