Boiler heat exchanger failed this spring and they fixed that under warranty. Central air was out of Freon and they put in sealant and recharged. 2 weeks later it was out again. Service guy came out and found numerous leaks in the condensing unit. Took down all the unit info and said he would attempt warranty with Payne. After numerous attempts to contact Cosgriff I get no response. Found out recently their service guy quit. Had discussed finding some resolution if Payne did not honor warranty - i.e. get me a price on fixing. Not even a response to that.Have also found numerous problems with the original install on both the boiler system and air handling equipment. Small leaks on the boiler piping, lousy return air ducting that makes the unit very noisy, condensate drain tubing not hooked up, damaged blower mounitng. When I brought this to the service man's attention, he thought I could fix those problems easily so I did.Would not recommend this business at all."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/duluth/cosgriff-sheet-metal-reviews-7397192.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Jim Hundley Heating & Air Conditioning","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IA","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Carolyn D."},"reviewBody":"Noticed on Sunday night that the blower on our furnace had stopped. Had heard it the during the week making noises and should have called sooner, but then on a Sunday night it quite. Fortunately it wasn't bitterly cold out and was able to keep house warm with our infraheater and space heater. Called Jim and he told me to call the local utility company to shut off gas until the morning when his service man could get here, so it would save us on an after hour service call. Service guy was here right away in the morning and after some difficulty getting the old blower out replaced it. I thought oh boy is this going to cost us because it took him at least 4 hours to get the blower out because it was really bound up. Work began around 8:30 am and was finished around 3:30 pm. Workers were professional and laid sheeting so as not to track anything in the house. Quality of work seems very good. Previous furnace was 30 years old so it vented through the chimney, so they installed new PVC exhaust pipes that exit outside through the foundation for the new unit. They did a good job on that and patched around the holes they made with concrete to seal everything back up. They installed all new lines running from the furnace out to the heat pump as well as a new programmable thermostat. It is a hybrid system, meaning that when the temperature is above a certain point (mine is set at 20 deg. F) the heat pump does the work of heating the house, as it can draw heat out of the outside air. This is cheaper to run than the furnace when temperatures are moderate. When the outside temp goes below 20 then the furnace kicks in and does the work. They include 1 free year of gold service, so they came out 6 months later and did a tuneup on the system. Overall, I am very pleased and it did seem to lower my heating bills a fair amount vs. the old system."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ia/waterloo/gubbels-one-hour-heating-and-air-conditioning-reviews-8100535.htm"},"position":10}]}
Very fast response. Not wanting to say he will do this all the time, but he came off vacation to install the water heater in my mother's house after it started to leak. Service was great, kind, considerate, fair price. Awesome job.
A very thorough job was performed by William! I would definitely call Dalton for future heating and cooling service.
Awsome- much better air flow after service, living room finally getting heated up like rest of the house. They were very curteous and respectful. Answered all questions and were not pushy.

To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Increase energy efficiency by insulating your basement and attic.
Turn down your thermostat a few degrees.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
