The work was quoted for free; we were quoted $4500 to $5000 with 4 days of construction. He listened to our issues and and desires and instead of quoting exactly what we proposed he suggested the dual zone system that we had never thought of but solved our problems and then some. We hired him and I took off work to help with the entire project. He obviously knew what he was doing and worked very quickly. We were finished in less than 3 days and within the quoted price. Everything works great and the difference is very noticeable. The old ducting was found to be over-sized by a large percentage due to its original design for an old oil burning furnace. The new ductwork increased the velocity of the system substantially as the newer furnace systems are designed to. The dual zone control added a second thermostat for the upstairs and is awesome because we don't need to heat/cool the upstairs during the day and we don't need to heat/cool the downstairs at night. Overall we are very happy with the price, quality, knowledge, and quickness of the work performed and we recommend him to anyone for any size of HVAC project. No doubt he will have our service again; especially for big ticket items: furnace, A/C, new construction, additions, etc!
