"Everything went as explained, diagramed, and promised by our System Design Specialist, Mr. Nicolas Hruska. We initially contacted just the top two Foundation Repair Experts listed on Angie's List because we can't afford to have our home repaired by anyone who lacks the proper credentials, staff, tools, training, techniques, supplies, 25 year transferrable warranty, and the hands on experience to deliver all services as promised. We are extremely pleased with the final results to take back our homes basement from poor workmanship done by the original builder and owner of our home back in 1979 We purchased the home in 2001 and unknown to us the foundation had been placed on top of clay based sub-soil which was an acceptable building practice back in 1979. Today's building codes prohibit this careless and costly practice of home site preparation for the homeowner. A toilet flapper will remain open when the chain that it is connected to is too short. The chain should lift the flapper just enough to allow it to open the rest of the way on its own. The chain should have just about half an inch of slack.

It’s safe to carry out minor repairs on small cracks and leaks on copper pipes by yourself. Since copper melts under heat, you can solder a copper pipe to repair what’s broken. Note that it’s better to solder two couplings and a copper pipe together to fix minor leaks. This gives you some additional material for a stronger repair.

The likely culprit is an air lock somewhere in your pipes. This is especially true if the warm water upstairs is accompanied by a decline in water flow. Other causes of this issue include frozen pipes, leaks, damaged supply lines, and more. There’s a simple DIY fix to try for air locks: Turn the hot water and cold water faucets on for a minute, then turn off the cold water and then the hot water. Repeat this process two or three times. 

While not every state requires that plumbing work be done by a licensed plumber, it’s in your best interest to find a local, knowledgeable plumber to handle your mobile home’s plumbing. Plumbing is a very complicated process, and making a mistake could cause big trouble down the line—small leaks can quickly grow into large leaks and cause massive (and costly) water damage issues.

There’s no way around it—a burst pipe is often a homeowner’s worst nightmare, and the situation can range from semi-serious to dire. If you don’t catch the leak, it can lead to thousands of dollars worth of water damage.

At best, you’ll notice a burst pipe quickly, turn off your water supply, and use a wet vacuum to clean up minor flooding. A plumber can repair the pipe, and you won’t be left with a major bill. At worst, severe water damage can collapse floors, ceilings, walls, and foundations, sometimes leading to major repairs and renovations.
