Classic Copper Works uses time honored German copper smith techniques handed down from father to son and passed on to our highly skilled artisans. We specialize in the fabrication of custom copper & bronze products and other metal specialties. WE DO NOT OFFER REPAIR SERVICES OF ANY KIND. Additional phone number - (888) 908-5339.

"Ordered and paid for custom awning that was to take 5 weeks. Its now been 16 weeks and still waiting. Owner is at best noncommunicable and at worst, rude. I'm now wondering if this is a scam and not a real business."

Before hiring a roofing contractor to work on your project, there are a few things you will want to ask, including:

  • Do you use roofing subcontractors?

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • Do you have any references?

  • How will you clean up after the project is complete?

  • Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Does your company have multiple locations?  This will let you know if they are truly local or a large company briefly working your area after a storm.

Do you offer a workmanship warranty?  Confirm in writing the time length and details of such warranty.

Do you have quality reviews?  All roofing contractors have references of their successful jobs.  Good contractors won't have many negative reviews.

How will you protect our windows, siding and landscaping?

Will you remove my old or damaged roof?

Some disqualifying signs to look for are:

-Did the contractor cold call or knock on your door?

-Does the contractor look or talk like a salesman?

-Does the contractor have profiles on many different websites?  Poor contractors will avoid an online presence to avoid bad reviews.

The cost to replace your roof is often significantly more expensive than the cost to repair it. On average, homeowners will spend between $5,890 and $12,800 to replace a roof. The size of the roof, the roof’s pitch, and the number of stories the house has will significantly affect the overall cost. You can expect to spend upwards of $46,000 for large, high-end roofs.

The cost of a new roof is an investment in the future of your home. Weigh your contractor choice decision on trustworthiness, reviews and integrity. Roofing is a trade that is easy to cut corners in order to cut cost, and going with the cheapest contractor is generally a poor choice.

Roofing in Allison requires seasonal attention to prevent long-term issues. After winter, check for ice dam damage and inspect flashing around chimneys. In spring and summer, look for loose shingles and clear roof valleys of debris. Fall is the best time to clean gutters and trim overhanging branches. Scheduling annual roof inspections helps catch small problems early, reducing the risk of major roof repair needs.

Helpful?

For roofing in Allison, opt for impact-resistant shingles or metal panels designed to withstand high winds and hail. Use a synthetic underlayment for added moisture protection, and install ice and water barriers at vulnerable edges. Ensure proper attic ventilation to reduce the risk of ice dams and heat buildup. Sourcing materials from regional suppliers helps ensure reliable delivery and products suited to local climate conditions.

Helpful?

In Allison, the humid continental climate brings harsh winters, hot summers, and frequent storms, all of which affect roof replacement and repair schedules. Winter’s freezing temperatures and snow can halt progress and create safety hazards, while summer heat may limit working hours. Severe storms can delay projects and disrupt supply chains, so planning installations for late spring or early fall helps minimize weather-related setbacks.
