"Marcus is fantastic. I had a very complex water problem, involving both plumbing and leaking rain from outside. Marcus did an incredibly thorough initial inspection, including photos of issues on my roof and inspection of bricks around my chimney. Then he and a helper came back and performed a thorough water test. Marcus is a second generation roofing specialist and has impressive knowledge of his trade. He first identified and isolated the plumbing issue (which is now repaired by others). Marcus cut inspection holes in my already damaged ceiling, to make sure my plumbing problem was solved. Then he identified leaks from blowing rain, which were evident from the water test. Also, his inspection disclosed potential future problems, which he is in process of remedying. He went over photos with me and expertly explained what was involved with each issue. He was also punctual, neat and polite. His helper and even the office person who confirmed appointments and arrival times were also courteous, first rate professionals.
M&C was the third roofer I called. The first roofer worked on my roof twice, without solving the problem, which eventually caused a serious leak in my bedroom ceiling. The second roofer was baffled and could not diagnose the problem on inspection.

"The new roof process started when I noticed an area of my ceiling looked stained. Within two weeks it had gotten worse and started to drip on the carpet. I had seen information for Peachtree Restorations and gave them a call. Nick Van Slyke came by that same week and checked my roof. It turns out I had wind and hail damage that I wasn't aware of. Nick walked my roof and reported that several of my shingles had pulled loose and many more were damaged. Nick helped me with everything, and I mean everything. He worked with my insurance carrier and their insurance adjuster, developed an extremely detailed estimate for the replacement, and stayed on top of the process right through installation. Peachtree Restorations provided me a roof that meets Georgia building codes and included synthetic roof underlayment, ice and water barrier in the valleys, metal drip edge, starter shingles, lead pipe stack covers (which they painted to match the roof color), ridge cap venting and ridge shingles. They did an excellent job of clean-up from the old roof removal with magnetic rollers. Since they used GAF products, GAF provided a lifetime warranty that includes the materials and labor of installation. This warranty can be transferred one time if the home is sold. "Communication overall could have been a little more prompt and clear, but it was acceptable. Since this was the first time I've dealt with getting a roof replaced and the transaction amount was much higher than I am used to I might have been a little more sensitive than normal. There was a few day delay in our new chimney cap, but they came out as soon as they had it ready and installed it, then called to let me know it was done. With the amount of rain we had this summer, there were absolutely no leaks. Overall, a great experience for an industry that can be sketchy at times."
