"After removing some shrubs along the front of my property, I was left with several stumps. I called Longwater Tree Service. They gave me a fair price and made sure I called Georgia 811 to mark my utility lines, which was good advice. Two of the stumps were over my gas line. Everything was done to my satisfaction and I would recommend Longwater Tree Service to others."

"Unbelievably amazing, fast, thorough, awesome service. Booked appointment at 7pm the night before and everyone turned up early the very next day and promptly took care of the overgrowth and trees with precision, speed and clearing everything out, all in 100 degree heat! Couldnâ t be happier, 1000% recommend. Would absolutely book again and will be doing so! Even put a nice little pile of yard ornaments and things that were buried beneath the underbrush all in one spot! So awesome!"

"Of the several tree companies we contacted - Freedom Stump was the only one who responded on the same day. They provided a reasonable quote based on pictures we submitted (no separate trip to quote). Then, they showed up the next day. Professional, efficient, and a blast to watch them grind the stumps with the remote controlled machine. Cleaned the area and left before we even heard back from any other companies! Highly recommended."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If your palm tree has spots on the leaves, rotting buds, or is beginning to turn yellow, then you have a sick tree on your hands. You should contact a palm tree specialist to identify the problem and help treat the tree if possible. Preventing diseases and pests is key to a healthy palm tree, and it's essential to take action as soon as possible if your tree is showing signs of being sick.

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots.

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions.

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.

To maintain trees on a commercial property, perform regular pruning, monitor for diseases, and apply fertilization to promote healthy growth. It is also important to remove any hazardous branches to keep the trees healthy and prevent potential liability issues.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.
